I think Ysmir is going to have some form of impact on Skyrim

Post » Tue Jul 05, 2011 2:32 pm

Ysmir Dragon Of The North, one of the gods that the Nords worship. Some believe that he and Talos are the same, but they are not. Ysmir before he was sainted was originally Ysmir Wulfharth of 5 Songs of Wulfharth fame, He was involved with the Numindium which later led to the events of Daggerfell, had an alliance with Tiber Septim which lead to the events of the Numindium occuring because Wulfharth was ticked off at Tiber, and he was involved with Lorkhan's heart to a degree. My theory is that Ysmir will have some form of Impact with Skyrim's story, although I'm not sure if he will be a boss, a Dragon that he will take the spirit of, Lore or some other unknown thing.

Ysmir = Talos = Wulfhart = Tiber = Zurin = Talos = Ysmir. There was a reason why he made Wulfhart his doppelganger, in order to make people believe he was anywhere.

Also, why bother with a look-alike, when we could have the real deal, Shor.

I would think so, as a matter of fact I think that YOU may be an aspect of Ysmir/Talos, hence the Dragonborn thing. Sure the gods chose who for a soul of a dragon, but WHO chose?

This. A thousand times this.

I fully expect Shor to play a vital role in the story of Skyrim and in stopping Alduin from eating the world.

Shezarr is a watered down version of Shor. Seriously, he is. Alessia only included him in the Cyrodiilic pantheon, because the nords wanted the god of humankind back in action (Shor), but Alessia didn't want a huge anti-mer presence in the pantheon, as the Cyrodiils wanted to continue worshipping the merrish pantheon they were forced to worship when they were enslaved by the Aleyids.

Plus, we're dealing with the nords, but the Cyrodiils. Shor is their #1, their father, and so on. Not putting Ysmir down, but it would make much more sense to have Shor be the nord's number one deity, along with Shor being Alduin's opposite.

If I remember right, isn't Kyne the widow of Shor also? Becuase the key thing with Kyne is that her daughters taught the first Nords the way of the thu'um (Storm Voice, aka: dragon shouts)

Kyne
(Kiss At the End) Nordic Goddess of the Storm. Widow of Shor and favored god of warriors. She is often called the Mother of Men. Her daughters taught the first Nords the use of the thu'um, or Storm Voice.

That too, though I don't know how this related to Alessia's politicking.

Shor is another possibilty, maybe an artifact that the Dragonborn needs to find in order to stop Alduin, or some of his worshipers that the Dragonborn needs to find in order to stop Alduin.
