Thinking about buying Fallout New Vegas for PC

Post » Thu Oct 31, 2013 2:27 pm

I'm thinking of buying it for PC since on sale on steam. I'm just really worried though. Will it hurt my computer? Its a 2013 HP desktop but its not a gaming PC. So what I'm asking is, would it make it slower or hurt it in any other way?

(Does this belong in the community section?)

To my knowledge Fallout New Vegas isn't a virus or malware. So go ahead and buy it.

If you do not have a dedicated graphics card, then the game may not run. If you have something like Intel HD3000 or Intel HD4000, then it may not work for you. There is a dll tweak that lets the game get past the Shader Checker, but it will run fairly slow, if at all.

HaHa, yeah I know Im just paranoid when it comes to these things. The PC isnt exactly mine alone and if I mess it up, there will be hell to pay! :shakehead:

Its an AMD Radeon 7570. Will that do?

You should not have much problems running it since it sounds like it is a dedicated video card.

Good, thanks. I know nothing about computers. I looked on the side of the tower and typed what I saw.
