Thinking of Getting This on PC

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:43 pm

Hi I was thinking of getting the PC version of Fallout 3 but I wanted to spice it up because I played the console version to death. Can you guys give me any suggestions on which mods I should get? (Links would help big time). I already am getting FWE but what else should I get? Thanks to all who post.

There are a lot of great suggestions here: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1096936-must-have-mods/

I didn't see them in there so I'd have to add http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6338 and http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12221 to the list.

Dont think about getting it. Get it! You havent played fallout3, till you've played it with the mods from this community. you might want to start thinking about using one of teh "overhauls" out ther. the more popular ones are FOOK and FWE. I use Arwen's Realism Tweaks myself. Its a matter of taste.

ok, so if you are planning on getting all of the DLCs with the game you should get enclave commander: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1410

along with mothership zeta crew: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8747

and to go with them you should also get fallout mod manager: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640

and just to make sure you can use ALL mods [aslong as you meet DLC requirements] get the FOSE: http://fose.silverlock.org/

and a personal favourite of mine, it allows your followers to come with you to point lookout: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7499

have fun!

oh yes. be sure to get all the modding utilities. in addition to the above, get archive invalidation invalidated. personally i use garybash for load order and bashed patch. BOSS-F, for automatically ordering your mods too.

invalidation comes with FOMM [fallout mod manager], but i think i might have to try garybash and those others.

and another thing you may want to get the unofficial patch. it fixes things in the game and DLCs that beth didnt.

and if those dont suit your needs.. get the G.E.C.K which can be found on the fallout home page.

good luck with mods!
