A Third Person Mode

It would be nice if you can pick between 1st person and 3rd person on Brink it would bring more interest to the game and bring it more popularity.... Also they should have a theater mode like on COD that would be pretty Awesome. Post Comment PPL

While I'm against turning Brink into a 3rd person game, I'm not against giving others their choice on how they want to play (plus the custom control mapping would work well with this too.)

Also, while CoD has a theatre mode, it started in Halo 3, however I like CoD's better, simply cause of the ability to slow down the recording, and also the ability to make scenes.

As a person who enjoys his R&C, AoT, Lost Planet and SOCOM, I gotta say I'd love TPS view as sort of a "just for fun" match variant in the free mode. It makes for a totally different style of gameplay, it could really add that little bit extra to the game's longevity.

I remember when R&C2 had FPS view as an unlockable cheat. Blew my [censored] mind.

A competetive 3rd person mode generally takes a different set of mechanics from the 1st person mode. I also find the TPS camera to be a much more useful tool for "campers" than many of the other tools already shot down by the community.

Some of the get SMART videos have camera angles that lead me to believe there may well be a theater mode... It might just be some jerky camera movement animations programmed in but if you look at some of the 3rd person panning shots and following shots they kinda don't flow in a sense. They flow to the same degree that a player controlling the camera with a controller/keyboard+mouse would be able to control the camera smoothly.

Every developer uses a "dev-hack" which enables a spectator/theatre mode to create trailers.
And most developers don't allow the players to use it.

I also find the TPS camera to be a much more useful tool for "campers" than many of the other tools already shot down by the community.

On the other hand, you can use just the same techniques against a camper.
