Hello Crysis team.
First I would like to tell you guys I love your games. Crysis is by far my favortie. I AM ALSO VERY EXCITED FOR YOUR NEW RELEASE COMING TO PS3!
In the new Crysis game, CRYSIS 2, I would really like it if there was a THIRD PERSON VIEW OPTION! Now before you guys just brush my idea off, consider my idea PLEASE! I would like to let you know there are thousands of gamers like me who agree with this idea! It would be really awesome if you guys make THIRD PERSON an option in the options menu of the game. This will benefit you guys at Crytek and the other THOUSANDS of GAMERS who enjoy third person shooters more than First person. Again I am not asking that you guys change the game from fps to TPS. I am asking that you incorporate both options in the gameplay menu. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!! Make a THIRD PERSON VIEW OPTION IN THE GAME, PLEASE!!!! As a FAN and LOYAL CUSTOMER, consider this idea please. And please make this and option for PS3, XBOX360, and PC. PLEASE!!!! I LOVE YOUR GAMES!!!!!! DO IT FOR THE FANS!!!

I realize your keen to get third person but, is that why you felt the need to make three threads on the topic, ?? just a point

Third person only good for 3rd person mode only, same as gamepad only matches (this is for online of course), otherwise this puts you at a clear advantage over a 1st person's view

devmode for everyone? hmm, not a bad idea.

Yeah, i've run a devmode server before. VERY fun Can't join unless you're also in devmode though.

Third person option wouldnt be fair in multiplayer though. You will have third person players under cover completely and peering over boxes and stuff, while in first person you can't do that without exposing your body. The only way for this to work is for 3rd person enabled servers (for PC), or 3rd person only gamemodes for the consoles. I don't see Crytek doing that though, unless their is popular demand for it.

Last time I checked, FPS meant First Person Shooter, emphasis on the "first". Either everyone is in third person or nobody is. Anything else is cheating online. As for singleplayer, why?

It sort of makes this a non-FPS game, when really, this game is all about the first person view.

I never really liked the idea in Call Of Duty, since the animations were flat and in most cases, like people said, you can cheat. I've got nothing against it at all, but it sort of rules out this games true genre, which is FPS.

I love playing Crysis in 3rd person with that dev tweak. If it's an option and not forced onto us i'd love it
