Third Person Over the Shoulder Combat

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 2:21 am

Hey guys, I feel like Bethesda should add in the option to stay in over the shoulder view when the player unsheathes their weapon in an update. I like that view a lot better. I wish they didn't force the camera back and center the camera when you enter combat. You guys agree?

P.S I'm aware you can adjust the view OUTSIDE of combat, but the second you unsheathe a weapon, the game pulls the camera back into classic third person.

That's how it should have been in the first place. I HATE 3rd person and cant stand to watch anyone play in it, but I do use it to view my character and see around corners sometimes.

Go third person. Zoom in as far as possible. You now have an over the shoulder view.

You can change how far away or how close up the camera is, I believe.

Yeah but when you unsheathe your weapon it zooms out.
That's what he is talking about.

You can zoom it back in.

But, I can't stand 3rd-person over-the-shoulder combat, except with a bow.. I'm loving the "classic" 3rd person.

But the option to play in over the shoulder wouldn't hurt you in anyway correct? Plus over the shoulder combat will be a lot better for dungeon raids because in classic third person the more tight environments often mess up the camera.

I just saw a mod for the PC version that has already done this. It looks so good and the combat is so close and personal from that view. Come on men, lets rally more support for this! Us console players don't get luxury of mods!

Alright, well I'm gonna bump this one last time in hopes for a little more support.

This phrase. It is pure mind[censored]. It took me a while trying to sort out the mess on my head.
