third person spells...

Ok so... Decided I was going to try a mage again.

Why the hell do targeted spells never actually hit what the cross hair is pointed at, and how the hell do I fix this?

Grr...

I loathe first person combat. Mmorpg reflex, if I can't see around me entirely without having to spin around I go nuts.

And this is enraging. Making it a little difficult to actually get into this build.

I am with you on some of the magic spells in first person perspective. I am fairly old school and would prefer turn based combat somehow available in the game. Maybe something like V.A.T.S. was in Fallout 3. I feel if the combat was slowed down a bit so you have a better feeling of things going on around you. An example of this is when I have a follower or I have friendlies around me when there is an enemy to kill and I accidently hit a friendly with my greatsword... I know that is a two handed combat skill but I guess I still feel like some kind of combat sytem that slows things down would be an advantage to the system. Just my two cents. :)

On the other hand I suppose it adds to the realism as it is in real time. :)
