Spoilers.


Vault 81. Dr. Penske. If you eat the special Mutfruit she gives you, she'll then ask you for a favor. She asks you to bring her bags of fertilizer and she offers you 25 caps per bag, non-negotiable. I agreed. I already had several bags in my inventory. However, speaking to her again just makes her give you her normal dialogue run-down. She mutters to herself, talks about her crops, etc. In all THREE of my different save files, I have never once been able to complete this turn-in quest. It doesn't give me a quest in the Pip-Boy, there is no dialogue option, even after waiting a full day and coming back you cannot give her the fertilizer. I have tried waiting until all Vault 81 quests were completed and coming back. I have tried doing it before doing any other Vault 81 quests. I have tried reloading earlier saves. I have tried every possible thing I can think of.


Is this part of the game Bethesda meant to turn into a turn-in quest, but never finished it, or simply FORGOT about it? Seriously. FIX. THIS.

Vault 81 seems to have a lot of bugs. I have the same issue as you plus I can not talk to the jet huffing drug addict. He just stands there huffing in front of me and I can not talk to him.

I even tried shooting him in the head but he does not die and the whole place will turn on you. I guess that part is working.

I know thy pain, I encountered the same bug plus several settlement bugs in every play-through.
