DLC's going to the 360 first? Hey Bethesda - I have bought most of your games since you began. I have always played on my computer and always will. Nice way to alienate your long time fans.

Arena I bought day of release in 1994 - I'm still here.

At least you still get mods and other 3rd party content. PS3 owners have to wait no matter what. We're use to it though. Microsoft does this with DLC for other games too: Call of Duty comes to mind.

What difference does it make? I don't even know why microsoft bothers with the 30 days of exclusivity. It's not like anyone is switching to their platform because of that. Nobody even knows about it until it happens. It's just dumb.

If people as a whole were aware of that, it would influence buying decisions.

When Megaman 10 was coming out, the fact that it came out on the Wii before other consoles resulted in me purchasing it on the Wii instead of another console.

Once the game is purchased, simply for early DLC I'm not going to trade another version for the 360 version, but if I had known ahead of time, if I wasn't going to get it on the 360 anyways, it might have influenced my decision.

Thats American Capitolism right there yah gotta love it. :celebration:

Yeah, that's why their doing it in all countries and not just America.

Also the money Bethesda gets for doing the deal with Microsoft is put into the DLC so it's a win for everybody.

same reason they are holding out with the creation kit for PC. They want to milk sales as much as possible before they have to release what is expected at this point. But yeah, having microsoft pay you extra probably helps.

Even though I have the game for Xbox, DLC exclusivity is getting old. I have Battlefield 3 for the PC, least with it I only have to wait a week later for Back to Karkand than PS3 gamers.

*Edit*

Like TyromeBankson said, the money they get for doing this deal with Microsoft will be used for any future DLC. That is the positive side of it. There are always two sides to everything.

I consider it a blessing in disguise given how buggy Skyrim is. Let the Xbox players howl about all the bugs first and hopefully they'll be mostly fixed by the time the PS3 and PC version of the DLC comes out. Also, it will provide advance warning if any of the first two DLCs prove to be garbage like horse armor so as not to waste money.

I don't really care about dlc's. They are usually crap anyways. The only thing I'm looking forward is the CK and perhaps the "real" expansion of the game; not the dlc's.

If bethesda had any dignity, they would have declined and said "no, [censored] off microsoft. We don't play favorites. We're going to release the DLCs at the same time for everyone. we care more about our fans than we do about a few extra bucks. Not that you would be able to understand this, you soulless corporation of festering greed."

Why would they do this? They've been in bed with Microsoft since before Oblivion was released.

I think they are more interested in the money. They sure didn't try very hard to give us a really deep game. Instead they ripped out half of the good stuff to fit their dragons and some gimmicks into the game.

I don't know how many times I have been disappointed by a missing feature. Enchanting is shallow, there are a lot of missing spells, cooking and wood cutting serve no purpose, and our three attributes are too low to start and get worse as you level. Was a time when you automatically got the skill perks you earned, now you have to pick one from the several you might qualify for. The skills weren't broken, the fact that everyone in the game got them when you did, was.

I don't really care about DLC's. Every time they patched FO; New Vegas for another DLC they found a way to screw up the game. Now my copy of new vegas is all but unplayable. I can only assume that this fouled up patching system is going to get worse, not better.

Congrats for sticking around since Day 1 in 1994. Wiki says it shipped under 10,000 copies initially. Thanks for keeping Bethesda afloat. I've already heard from the other 9,999 on these forums and thanked them but you deserve yours.

we get mods on pc (aka hundreds of "dlc" for FREE).....sooo.. i think we are even, if not even more ahead because we will STILL GET the other dlc

also... for all we know (this wont happen but we can hope) the 2 dlc is going to be 1) new sword added to the game, and 2) new sheild added to the game and THEN the release the new REAL dlc at the same time :P

Pc players get the creation kit. Stop being such a massive baby, I'd trade 30 day exclusivity for mods any day of the weak.

I'm sure Bethesda is going to make a ton of money from MS with this deal, which means higher quality DLC later down the road, and a higher quality TES: VI. I don't care at all that they're releasing it to Live first.
