It generally depends on who's drawing the most aggro from everyone.

I once had a Spriggan show up while I was fighting off an Elder Dragon, and they apparently seem to be able to control animals with some kind of charm spell, because suddenly, EVERYTHING within sight of me just came after me until I killed the Spriggan.

I was not long for the world after that, however.

This. Never. Happened. To. Me. In. Numerous. Dragon. Fights.

This must be fabrication or somehow they got a different code than us. Here I am, in a Giant Camp. I didn't provoke them by closing in but a Blood Dragon is there, laying fire on us. So I decide to combat it and JUST when I am about to nail this Blood Dragon on Expert I get launched into orbit, by a Giant. No, this wasn't a miscalculated part on the Giant side he approached from the flank and clubbed ME instantly.

So BH, when do you figure to patch this in? It's becoming annoying to have my victory stolen away because the AI cannot prioritize between me and a Dragon.

my god, the same crappy thing happened to me, this time, myself, lydia and my conjured flame atronach was laying the beat down on a dragon. (im only level 9 on this char). Im a full warrior so its incredibly difficulty anyway, too add more pain i have it on Master difficulty.... so, i finally smash the dragon in the lamb chops and i get the kill... whadda ya know... the guards of whiterun start bashing on me... all 6 of them.... now i know for a FACT i did not hit ANY of them.... as they was all around the front and back and i was behind a rock, shooting arrows and smacking him from the side...

Sounds like bad luck OP.

I've been in some intense fights with all manner of creatures, and 100% of the time we all band together when a dragon attacks.

And this is from a player who has slain many, many a dragon.

ive fought a blood dragon with forsworn and some necromancers once, the necromancers just got in the way, so they died first

I've had a battle royal between a dragon, a giant, myself, and a group of bandits. It definitely happens. The giant was mostly interested in the dragon, while the bandits were trying to kill the giant, and the dragon was strafing everyone. when the dragon died, the giant turned to the bandits, and when he died, the bandits attacked me.

I worked with two camps of bandits (eight or nine of them, mostly archers fortunately) and a bear to kill a Blood Dragon -- but as soon as it died, ALL the bandits turned on me and the bear... and when the bandits were all dead, that crazy bear turned on me too! <_<

So later on, when I saw another dragon flying loops over an enraged pack of two giants, four mammoths, a good dozen bandits, and a crab, I just chuckled and decided to go somewhere else instead. I figured that dragon had enough grief already! :laugh:

Everything attacks the closest enemy I think, while sticking more to the one they first attacked. Also giants get aggessive if you get to close to them and/or draw your weapons.

It was dark.... A dragon swooped down and i rushed to chop at it. I hit it like 5 times with my war axe and realised he was almost already dead. I killed him in less than 10-15 sec of him landing on the ground. I'm lvl 15 and just said
"I AM DRAGONBORN, MASTER OF KILLInG DRAGONS!!!"
......then i turned to the left and saw a Giant (who obviously did all the "damage" to the dragon) and before I knew it, I was 300 feet in the air.

I would say snimals help you in dragon fights.

It's random. Usually the dragon teams up with a giant or couple of bears to annihilate all the guards and me. I hate how a bear alone can kill a dragon.

Honestly... If i'm fighting some bandits and a dragon lands I just one shot the dragon then continue one shotting whatever I was fighting. It's been this way since level 15-20. I'm now 63.. and bored as hell.

Never should of used enchanting/smithing...... Pretty much ruined the game for me.

I know what you mean... I regret my first play through. I have to set limitations on myself on master difficulty to get any sense of challenge now.

I've never seen hostile creatures help me defeat a dragon. Friendly creatures, yes. But otherwise, no. This is definitely something they need to fix. Along with the fact that dragons ignore the player far too often.

Funny to see this thread... Tonight I had a pack of four saber-toothed cats band together and attack a dragon while it focused on me. Was very harrowing, but thanks to my Bosmer power, I managed to snag a couple of them over to my team. They were great!

This happened to me lots of times. The biggest gank on a dragon I saw was me, 4 guards, 3 thugs with a contract on my life, 2 wolves, 1 horse, 1 dog. Dragon didn't stand a chance.

Yeah, I'm having the same problems; 90% of the time I fight dragons in the wild(which is like, the only place they spawn) they have the worst case of ADHD, end up flying over to some bear/giant/whatever after I take it down halfway and my glory gets taken right from my grasp. So uncool.

Edit: also, today a dragon started circling overhead before deciding to fly vertically straight up out of the planets atmosphere.

Every time I fight a dragon anything around helps. People will turn on me after, giants I've seen it both ways, one time he turned to fight me and the other he stared at me for a while, decided I wasn't a threat and turned back to his camp

What happens to me is, I'm wandering around and I see a Dragon appear and take on a mammoth. I get closer to help the dangered animal, but they then set aside their differences and try to take on me.

The mammoth also brings on a friend (a giant) too!

Well, let me say this because this was the most [censored] I have ever experienced in my life on Skyrim. I'm a Bosmer. I'm minding my own business trotting along from Windhelm to Riften. In the distance, a dragon is flying over a tower. This dragon (f*cking as*hole) swoops over and starts fighting a giant.

1st time. Dragon and Giant are fighting. I stupidly go in for a closer look thinking "oh cool." Dragon and Giant both see me. STOP fighting each other and tag team me as*. I felt like I was in prison.

2nd time. Dragon and Giant fighting. I hang back. Dragon kill Giant. Dragon THEN kills me because he landed on my head, breathed fire on me and then chomped me to death. I was pinned against a rock.

3rd time. Giant and I tag team dragon. Dragon dies. GIant is furious I took his kill. Clubs me to death.

4th time. Giant and I tag team dragon. I let the dragon kill more of the giants health. I've almost got the dragon completely killed when THE MAMMOTH OF DOOM SHOVES HIS TUSKS UP MY AS*. I died again.

5th time. I kill dragon. I run like hell after I absorb soul and loot. No a [censored] was given.

I've never seen the enemies stop attacking me, they may also attack the dragon but if they have a shot on me they will take it.

Considering I was using dual bound weapons and no shouts or magic, I consider that chance very unlikely I somehow managed to slice a Giant who wasn't even there, let alone miss a swing towards such large target, the dragon.

But I can see almost none experienced this, I suffered this 2-3 times already and it's just illogical.

Maybe a straying bullet had enraged him, hmm?
