Story: The year is 2283. The once great city of New York is a bombed out post-apocalyptic hellhole, filled with raiders, mutants, and unspeakable horrors. Few people enter the ruins, and even fewer live to tell the tale. A very lucky few in the Empire Wasteland live in heavily fortified towns, guarded by security no better than the criminals they are supposed to fight. Those who live outside of these towns eke out a miserable existence where life is short.

The biggest city in the Empire Wasteland is Newark, built on the ruins of the old airport of the former city of Newark. This city is the beating heart of the region, as not only is it the biggest city, but it also has the biggest port int he known world. Many depend on the port and the goods that go in and out of it.

No faction has complete dominance over the city, but the Slavers of Liberty Lost are certainly trying. The mayor of Newark is an ineffectual pawn however, for the anti-slavery group known as the Forsaken. The Forsaken and Liberty Lost are constantly fighting, and there are fears of a full blown war starting that could drag the entire region into it. In the distance, the Lake Federation is eagerly awaiting for a chance to pounce.

How will you survive?

Now that's done, yes, this is technically a New Manhattan rebirth, except that much has changed. The focus however, remains the same. This is a free-form RP, where you make the story. The main plot points are given, but the day to day interaction and minor plot points are not set. Those are for us, the Roleplayers, to decide.

Equipment/Inventory: Stimpacks, ammo, picture of wife and family, money.
Appearance: http://www.thestyleblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/02-copy3-681x1024.jpg
Personality: Extremely impatient and gets extremely annoyed at the slightest delay. Has a quick temper that flares easily, but is extremely gentle with his wife and children. If you're nice to him he'll never forget it, but he can hold a mean grudge if you mess with him.
Skills: Is the best shot in the security group he's in, very charismatic and can convince even the worst of criminals to stand down and face justice. He is gifted in the arts of making people talk.
History: Peter's parents are lowly farmers in the outer regions of the Empire Wasteland. Peter was never really happy on the farm, and left with his girlfriend at the age of 17. The couple made their way to Neward, where Peter became part of the security firm in the area, and slowly rose through the ranks. In the mean-time, he married his girlfriend, Ann, and began a family with her. He has two daughters, and his wife is pregnant again with their third child. He is hoping for a boy this time around.
Weakness: If you have a tangible threat to his wife or kids, he will cave no matter what.

If I get some sign-ups, I will make a full locations list.

LOCATIONS LIST (More will be added)

Newark: The largest city in the Empire Wasteland, Newark is the beating heart of the region. Built upon the ruins of the old airport, Newark is heavily fortified and secured.

Market: The Market is located inside the old terminal of the airport. Merchants sell wares from all over the region, and if you look closely enough, from all over the known world. Criminals sell stolen goods, and many bribe the security. Pick-pockets abound. The security company is based here.

Port: The port is the heart of the Newark. The entire city is geared toward the port and maintaining its functionality. The people of the Wasteland are at the mercy of the port. If the port dies, the people die as well.

Runway: The Runway district is the residential district of the city and nothing more.

Lyle King District: The polite term of the Red-Light district. Home to sleezy casinos and brothels, sailors love this district of town. The security tends to stay away from this criminal infested hell-hole.

Liberty Lost: Liberty Lost is the home of the slaving group of the same name. Located on the ruins of the Statue of Liberty, this group is arguably the most influential in the region. Their leaders have large amounts of influence through bribes and extortion. Many slaves are sold to people here, and some even go overseas, usually to their deaths.

The Outer Regions: Far from the ruins, the Outer-Regions are home to farms. Mostly lawless, farmers crowd together and from militias to protect their land. Peter's parents are farmers in this region.

Manhattan Island: Manhattan Island is the biggest hell-hole in the entire known world. Although bombed into Oblivion, the city remained. The ruins appear to go on forever, and because of the tall buildings, sunlight doesn't reach the ground in most places. Mutants control this area. The land is rich in supplies to be found, and those who return alive usually return rich.

Naval Yard: The Naval Yard in Brooklyn is home to the Forsaken, and military group dedicated to the eradication of slavery in the region. While in open war with Liberty Lost, they have become a major pain the recent months, and many fear a full blown war could erupt at any moment.

New Buffalo: The Capitol of the Lake Federation, which is the most developed nation on the East Coast. The LF has a organized military and a strong economy. So far, they have remained outside of the Empire Wasteland's affairs, but are interested in the area.

Pretty good, but I'd prefer a little bit of history.
