This forum is causing me some Gamer's Remorse.

Nope. There are things that I like and dislike the sound of when it comes to Skyrim info. Others will like what I dislike, and vice versa. Games aren't tailored to an individual.
I reckon there's also a bit of boredom which affects the complaining: you get some scraps of info and that's it, and all you can do on forums like this is to rip that info apart and speculate. This may end up with people speculating that things are bound to be bad without really knowing Jack about how something is actually implemented (I'm guilty of this too btw).
Then there's the fact that some people have been speculating/building up expectations for months, nay, years before Skyrim was even announced. If you've already built up your perfect game in your head, anything less is going to seem like a bit of a downer.

i dont think you should feel bad, you should be excited for the game, if you're happy about something thats all that matters... bethesda themselves know they cant make everyone happy, they accept that fact, so you certainly shouldnt let it bother you.

look, people are ALWAYS complaining, about EVERYTHING.

example... people were worried hand-to-hand was taken out... it was confirmed to still be in, but since it wasnt a skill, people didnt think it was a viable option anymore... they hear there are non-lethal tavern brawls, they think its just a gimmick and still wont prove useful in battle... then we get confirmation that we CAN kill enemies with our fists and its still a viable combat choice... then they complain that they cant be peaceful fist fighters.

Now wait just a cotton picking minute. There's a difference between killing things in battle, and getting better at killing things in battle. If you can't get better, it's not a valid combat option because at most you'll be able to kill the rabbits. And if there is a way to get better, but it's not related to a skill - then Beth just threw out their slogan "get better at something by doing it" and a whole lot of people should see red flags going up everywhere.

And also, barfighting is a gimmick if hth was watered down so much that it would be available to people. If it wasn't watered down for the reason, what was the reason then? It was a completely valid combat option before, but now it's a joke of its former self.

I'm kind of experiencing the opposite, it's this forum and the discussion/debate that's maintaining my interest in Skyrim.

This forum has been very educational for me. I'm more of a casual gamer, so a lot of these in-depth discussions and debates are interesting to read, even if I don't always understand them. I think it gives a much deeper perspective on how diverse TES fans are and how they prefer to play.

I don't feel that way, I'm paying $60 so I can have fun with this game. What other people experience with the game doesn't matter to me.

pretty much this but then I think if I want the old system back i'll play an older title

Only opinion that matters is mine. Matters to me, that is :) For example: Dragon Age 2 isn't that bad :P :bolt:

No, I can't say I've ever felt that way. No matter what there are going to be people who dislike something you love, it's one of the great things about individuality. Everyone here has a valid point whether they are disappointed, happy, or anywhere in between.

It's all about putting things in perspective. I may not miss hand-to-hand, but that doesn't stop it from being a legitimate concern for some. Just like I am disappointed we still don't have full body awareness. Some people think that adds absolutely nothing to the experience, and it may not for them. But it adds a ton for me and others. The difference is some of us accept it, and move on. Others continue to voice their concern. Both ways are perfectly fine so long as we keep things civil when debating our sides of the issue. It's when we degrade ourselves and start flaming, calling anyone who doesn't agree with us "whiners" or "blind [censored]" that we really lose sight of the reason we are here. We all love games made by Bethesda, specifically Elder Scrolls in this case, and we're here to discuss it. :hugs:

Edit* Seriously? That is censored? I did not expect that! Just so people know, It was not any sort of curse word. It was a term used to describe overzealous fans.
