This forum needs a jason bergman.

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 9:55 pm

In the fallout new vegas forum, there was a developer named jason bergman who frequently answered our questions bugs, patches, dlc, etc. All we have here (from what i've seen) is Gstaff. And they dont seem all to active. We should try to lure one of the dev's into this forum...

After the release of a game Bethesda is usually pretty silent to fans and on to their next project

Dear Zack E,

Why does it look like a Seashorse ingested a human child in you avatar. How did he manage to eat it with his tiny Seahorse mouth?

This is of course of vital importance and if you dont answer immediatley and provide me with pictures I will stop playing your game.

TY

Haha to the above posts. But seriously, we need some one to serve as Bethesdas PR person. Jason was like always online and handled info on release dates for patches and downloads. He also dropped hints and previews for what is in the next patch/addon. He works at bethesda, so we should get him to come here and do his thing. Any fallout forum goers know what i mean?

That would be cool for us, but from what ive seen of this forum so far, that guy would get lambasted and the threads would max quick from a variety of whiners concerned consumers

True, but TES (imo) has less testosterone driven 12 year olds that whine when thier 9mm is useless after level 20... Regardless, Those whiners actually helped to localize all the complaints to one or two threads that jason was one. Look at the forum of skyrim now. A majority of posts are regarding bugs, dumbed down features, or bs. PLus, it made it easier for beth to find and fix the bugs (they only needed to look in one or two threads)

I think he's saying Skyrim didn't fix enough of Oblivion's weaknesses?

Im all for a Dev post your well written, mature, intelligent cases for what you feel should be improved and why, with a sticky.

Then the moderators scour the forums and eliminate all threads like it like they were Thalmor Justicars.

But it was the best TES game. It had Redguards! You know those guys that beat the Thalmor when the Empire preaty much gave up.
To the original topic: I do wish we had a dev like him here but sadly, Bethesda doesn't do that.

And WHO will be punished or who will WASTE HIS TIME, reading the complete irrational whining and crying of a LOT of guys in the forum, who seems to think is ¨easy¨ to introduce every whim they have.

I read a lot, ¨the game is not perfect and we want to make it better¨ defense they use, well... there are a lot of better ways to make a productive and intelligent criticism, that the general attitude: ¨Bethesta svcks I′AM GREAT¨¨: so please, develop a game better than this, be my guest, then we talk about your success.

*) That said: If the public were better it would be AWESOME to have feedback, but I guess we have to earn that attention.
