This game is amazing in so many ways but.......

I dont think ive played a game that has me coming back so often for multiplayer (maybe cod 4 an exception) but latley ive been growing tired and increasingly frustrated with the lag/hit detection, this game could be a rival for and fps on the market if this issue was solved.
Im growing tired of laying a whole clip into someone only for them to turn around and take me out with one shot.

iam new to crysis and i understand there is a learning curve to this game but ive played near on 20 hours multiplayer and my k/d is laughable, some part of my own doing but i must say the majority is because the actual shooting mechanics seem to be taken out of your hands, u lay a clip into someone only to watch the killcam and see they have come knowhere near your opponent.

As i say the rest of the game to me is exceptional, the campaign is one of the greatest ive played in recent years, the mp maps are brilliant, graphics are superb, the movement and feel of the game is smooth, my only other grumble is that maybe more weapons could become readily availible but thatsjust being picky.

I only hope they are sorting a patch for the lag/hit detection although i havent heard of any of yet, this would keep me coming back for months to come as that would make it near on a perfect mp expierience.

My K/D was horrible as well in the beginning. I played the game like COD, didn't use the suits abilities very well, and got crushed. Just pouring bullets into enemies only for them to turn around and just crush me. If you aren't aware of this yet, when you use armour, it depletes your energy, so if you armour up with no energy it provides essentially no additional health. Also, start using the Feline. This gun is ridiculously overpowered, and will help you establish how to play the game, and play well, so then you can move onto more challenging guns and still do well. I would say that I was averaging 8/12 K/D in the beginning. Once I started using the Feline and suits abilities I went to 18/6 K/D. Use Stealth, Energy Transfer, and Extended Mobility with the Feline. If you are getting owned with this combo, its time to reconsider your FPS skills.

my k/d is 3.50 but dont let that fool you into thinking im great at the game, im a decent team player who does what needs to be done.

You lads shouldnt worry about K/D at all, its just a number within a video game, instead get a team together, communicate, use tactics, play and have fun.

I play on a good host almost every game so I only get the ocassional lag issues but then again why the hell can the game not detect which is the best host in the room? this is the 21st century of technology, you really think when I can look up porm on my iphone in a public tiole.....said to much :S.....you really think it would be able to say "oh there is the best connection.....BAM SELECT!

Trust me dude, when I started playing the beta, I had a sub .5 K/D because I didn't know how to play the game and was TBH, terrible. After a while I started doing better and better and couldn't wait to get into the retail game.

Once it released, I was doing alright but I was really confused with the map orientation and the suit modules but once I got comfortable with the core suit abilities and how to use them to the best ability in the worst situations, I kept having great games one after the other. I also realized that a K/D doesn't mean anything besides a virtual number. Don't even bother thinking about it much.

Just give yourself some time and get comfortable with the game. It definitely has a break in period which might get you frustrated at first but then is very rewarding once you get the hang of things.

If you need help, I'm online on the weekends and you can find me by adding the GT: Crysis 2 Roster. It is this community's roster and it has a lot of people from this forum. If you want to get a squad going, feel free to message anyone on that GT's friends list and invite them to your game. BTW, my GT is the same as my user name, so if you feel like gaming, just send me an invite. I'm on the list as well.
