I could have used so many words instead of fools which are more harsh, but I deliberately chose the softest one because, well, tastes differ. In my opinion there is too much PvP games on the market and all of them are a waste of time and money. No matter how much time and money you spend on that type of game, there always will be someone (often from China) who has more time and more money than you to waste on a game. In fact, i know several people who base their entire lifes (sleeping, eating, working etc...) according to battle schedules of those games... Whether it is a matter of competitiveness, a sense of accomplishment, a brand loyalty or just a pure addtiction - everyone has their own cryptonite, and that's why those kind of games are successfull. Modern mobile gaming is a disease created to svck money from people (which is becoming more and more of a problem), but Bethesda showed that they don't treat their fans like giant wallets - this game is balanced and does not encourage you to spend real money to get further. And that says a lot in my point of view. Look at what Gameloft has become. Just one example from many - the latest Dungeon Hunter is designed very smart - it becomes impossible to play without spending money after spending a descent amount of time playing what is a great concept of a game - Dungeon Hunter 1 and 2 are still my favourites in mobile gaming by the way. Also look at what Disney is doing to Star Wars - I understand that they are trying to bring back as much money as possible, but the way they do it - no respect for fans and it seems like they have no shame at all - Star Wars Force Collection is exactly the kind of game which gets you addicted, especially if you are Star Wars fan, but to get 5 star cards there you must spend real money, there is absolutely no other way. On top of that, you have to spend ridiculous amount of money, as card packs are really expensive plus the chances of getting 5 star cards from them are miserable. So you have to be extremely lucky to get one descent 5 star card, but there are something like 12 cards in a deck... It gets more and more complicated the longer you play it, untill you finally realise that you have already spent a small fortune on a game, but you need to spend a lot more on top of that to proceed any further... True story, I have spent around ?200 on that game, and i am a massive Star Wars fan. Disney is ruining the franchise for me with those games(along with many other moneygrabbing gestures) and I hate to admit that.
Sorry for the long reply, I'm just sick and tired of companies so shamelessly svcking money from their fans. I miss those times when gaming was "Pay once and Play". And thumbs up to Bethesda for making a mobile game which finds a balance between those two concepts.
