this game deserves another DLC

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2016 4:56 pm

Now that this game is on a higher level console I would love to see at least 1 more DLC. I finally was able to get to the mods but they all crashed the game within minutes of playing a game with them so that was a disappointing wash. Some of them actually look like good ideas and would like to see those ideas incorporated into the game.

A few things I would like to see:

When I got to Solstheim and did the Unearthed quest where a tomb is dug up, I immediately thought of the Break of Dawn quest and how it would be neat to fix up Meridas temple and other ruins. In the late game I have tons of gold and that would be something I would like to spend it on.

I don't know how many people use the food/drink mechanics but thought it would be better if there was a skill set for it to increase amount of food and drink made/longer lasting effects (add to alchemy tree). I also think there should be a skill set for mining amount/better chance at gems (add to smithing tree).

When it comes to the building your own house in game I would like to see a change of how many and where items are placed. For instance if I am going to build some mannequins let me put them where I want and let me put weapons on them. Also I would like to put the arcane enchanter and alchemy station next to each other. In the current Lake Manor, I would like to see a mannequin added to the alchemy tower just like the enchanter tower has.

Add a quest line for the hand under the mages college. I always thought there should be one for it.

Complete the armor sets (for those with OCD) and have armor set bonuses. It doesn't have to be uber, just in line with gameplay/storyline

Bring the all gods forward and do quests for them for special gear or innate bonuses

There is more but I think this game can be so much more than it is.

Yes I always thought that Bethesda Game Studios should develop a expansion pack to sell where the Player Character (PC) can travel to the Summerset Isles and either fight the Thalmor with the Stormcloaks or side with the Thalmor and fight the Stormcloaks.

with the winner smacking the empire around would be cool as well.

except such an event wouldn't make sense from an "in world" standpoint

For me it makes sense since the Thalmor made worshiping Talos illegal and Ulfrik Stormcloak started the war.

In the event that another dlc is created for the game i would not mind something that very subtlety gives us insight into where we will head next in the franchise (fingers crossed)

The Stormcloaks can't even completely kick the Empire out of Skyrim, but they are supposed invade the Summerset Isles and defeat Tamriel's most dangerous military force on their own soil?

thats not why it doesn't make sense, it doesn't make sense because the Stormcloaks wouldn't possibly have the resources to invade Summerset.. it would be like the Halifax city police trying to conquer great Britain..

"doing something for the sake of doing it" is the cornerstone of bad writing, good writing has to make sense in the setting as it has been presented so far, and as everything has been presented we know the Stormcloaks would not have the resources or man-power to invade the "unconquerable province"..

I am not opposed to the idea of a new DLC, but it would have to make sense within the setting and lore of Elder Scrolls, and the stormcloaks having what it takes invade summerset goes against not only everything we know about Summerset's history and Skyrims current fighting capacity, but also go entirely against basic military strategy and economical logistics..

not to mention that Summerset is near impossible to invade.. the only time they were successfully invaded was when Walk-Brass was dropped on them till they surrendered (the maormer came somewhat close once, but they ultimately failed)

I have yet to chose a side and go to war in game yet so cant speak on that. I know there is a point where the dragonborn can end the fighting. I would like to see the nords "remove" the invaders from their lands

It would be nice, but I think Bethesda is done with DLCs for Skytim.

Only if they have weapon degradation at Summerset Isles. If not, I will not be visiting Summerset Isles with the Stormcloaks.

As for more DLC for Skyrim, I would prefer any future ideas for TES should not be wasted on an old game like Skyrim. They should wait until the next Elder Scrolls where those ideas can be better with the technology available to them by the time there is another TES game.

That said, were they for whatever reason make another DLC for Skyrim, I'd probably buy it anyway. Though the possibility of that happening is basically zero.

With all of the excellent mods out there to enhance the story and gameplay, I personally hope that Bethesda focuses there efforts on TES VI versus another DLC for Skyrim.

Oh yeah, I think it would too. I would love a DLC that revolved around the Forsworn in some way (love the Forsworn!). But I know it won't happen.

The Stormcloaks can try to get the Redguards to invade the Summerset Isles and maybe try to get the Imperials to ally with Jarl Ulfrik Stormcloak to invade the Summerset Isles.

Or the other way around just have the Imperials be with the Thalmor and fight off the Stormcloaks.

The Stormcloaks can build a fleet of ships with the help of either the Imperials and Redguards or both depending on the choices you make to invade the Summerset Isles.

The Imperials I'm sure already have a fleet of ships anyways.

The Stormcloaks have a few ships and maybe a timeline set about I don't know twenty years into the future the Stormcloaks can build and gather a few more ships to invade the Summerset Isles.

The Redguards have some ships.

And we're going to fit this whole Second Great War into one DLC. You're quite the dreamer.

I would like to see a quest that reverses the damage to forsworn by the dwarves. I would also like to see the dwarves step back into skyrim in some way. its going to be years until we see TES VI so a dlc sometime next year wouldn't hurt them any

I'm not sure, but the Redguards apparently managed to hold off the Thalmor invasion or something in Hammerfell. If I remember correctly. So the Redguards in a way really arn't that much man and resource depleted.
