So is this game finally fixed?

Its definitely not 'fixed'. Its better than before with freezing. The thing is this game will never be 'fixed' It will always be a buggy game that freezes from time to time. Its taken 7 months and still its not 'fixed'
So it depends on how much patience you have...you can either throw it in the bin and never buy another obsidian game again or just accept the fact that this games a [censored] mess and put up with the problems. i chose the bin

In a perfect world with unlimited time and resources Obsidian would probably gladly go back and rebuild the game from scratch.
But this ain't a perfect world. It svcks, and I hope I'm proven wrong, but I have a feeling New Vegas will go down in history as a deeply flawed game that refuses to be repaired.

Ive played around 20 hours since the patch with 1 freeze. This is a huge improvement but I have had 3-5 moments with very slow random framerates (as soon as entering gommarah, outside old mormon fort) I have also noticed npcs spawning inside eachother ( 2 men outside gommorah - 1 shotgun shell = 2 headshots, FIVE children at nellis inside eachother )

If you like open world games and blowing peoples head off I would reccomend picking the game up cheap since it can still be a ton of fun and runs a lot more smoothly since 1.05 patch. Just expect a few minor issues
