this game is great! but...

...i feel its been toned down/aimed at a lower age audience than are intended to buy it, the language used is to often unsifisticated or simplistic or lacks anykind of insight or choices, it really lets the questing down, the world is so amazing but every person seems to either say somthing silly or i just dont get to reply at all, when you do get to reply thete are only 2 or 3 couple of word answers, some times one answer, considering your replys are text based and several replys can have the same answers there is no excuss for such lacking and un interesting choices in dialogue. theres few quests that i will be able to roll in a different style. which is a shame.

At least the dialog is better than Fallout's.
"I'm looking for my father, he's a middle aged guy."

But I see what you mean here. I just roleplay it in my head so that, whenever I say "Just tell me what I have to do," the voice in my mind says "Of course. I'll have it done. For a reasonable price, of course." Then again, this game is not LA Noire. The dialog probably wasn't the feature they spent the most time on.

The dialogue is slightly improved, but it's still lacking. I wish they put more talent into the writing team. Some day I'd like to play a TES game with Planescape like dialogue tree.

Do Hermaeus Mora's quest and come back and say the language used is simplistic. :P

The game doesn't have a moral system, so there is not real depth in the choises you make. It's not as if your choises in a dialogue tree will affect something later down the line.
At least I haven't noticed such a thing.
I suppose that they never aimed at making the dialogue important in the game (a la mass effect).

yeah i suppose, i know they didnt make nv but i at least thought theyd of played it, so when they said the dialogue was like fallout i though ooh you will have skill choices and lengthy wordings but yeah stuck rping my dialogue, im certainly not appoligiesing for using shouts in town to save you from dragons but im also certainly not making what sounds like a fart joke so ill just press B to exit... which they desiced would almost be dialogue, its fine if they disagree with whats said they can always press b...

The game definitely is aimed at the "no consequence" generation of players. I WISH that the conversations actually meant something. Coming off of Oblivion, this game has nicely exceeded many of my very low expectations of it. However, this one point still remains extremely unpolished. This is the main reason why people don't call TES a RPG anymore. There is no choices or consequences of your actions in the world.

Sure, you get to play the game, however you want.... as long as you follow this very narrow single pre-defined dialog path.
