This game lacks seriously ambition

Post » Mon Nov 30, 2015 12:12 am

whats up with the half done survival mode? no way were they satisfied with making a hard difficulty with no usage of food water or sleep. Those mechanics are still coded in the engine but not used. Feel really bad about the game because it seems they didnt get to finish the game giving us what they wanted? Just seems like a rough couple years ahead maybe because they have to much goin on with the new elder scrolls game and doom coming maybe? They do love making games for us, but when they cant really give it their all it kind of shows that its not what they really wanted in the end, but its pretty close! Hope the next one they get the slack from the money made to make it an incentive to give them the freedom to make the game how they really want.

Oh please. If the game had all these things, it would just be a whole other wishlist and the same assault on the character of Bethesda's workers.

I'm not "assaulting" the character of BGS employees - I love their work and games. I enjoy Fallout 4. However, there are some serious flaws and concerns.

The dialogue is streamlined to the extent of giving off the illusion of choice and consquence. The distinct lack of certain, darker elements like prostitution and slavery, which are common successfully established trades in PA - America (Fallout).

These things should be adressed

... where do you get the "3 types of guns" thing? So far, I have found...

10mm pistols
Laser pistol/rifle
Double-barrel shotgun
Combat shotgun
Assault Rifle
Combat rifle
Institute pistol/rifle
.45 revolver
Hunting rifle/.50 cal. Rifle
Minigun
Missle launcher
Fat man
Cryolator
Junk jet
Pipe pistol/rifle
Pipe revolver
Bolt-action pipe pistol/rifle
Gamma gun
Plasma pistol/rifle
Submachine gun
Alien blaster
Laser gatling

And I'm pretty sure there's still plenty left to discover.

Apologies

I can list a few for you:

...Actually here this is better:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil_in_popular_culture#Video_games

most notable are

Castlevania series (where you play as dracula and killing off the paladins etc.)

Vampires: The Masquerade

games not on that list are Max Payne, Resident Evil 4.

And to show good faith to Zenimax/Bethesda: The Evil Within.

I'm too busy playing to fret about the OP's list of what they wanted.

I prefer to focus on what there is (and there is a lot)

than grumbling about what isn't there.

Also, the OP inappropriately suggests what 'we' wanted.

Many items in that list are not universally desired.

Normally I would be opposed to the whole, slavery, death to children, prostitution thing.... but all of that was in Fallout 3. Not to say that is a legitimate reason it should be in FO4, but it is something they've done before, so let's not stand on moral high ground.

Of course, I've only played about 30ish hours so I can't really say what is or isn't in game. However, in my limited play time, I've seen some pretty dark, disturbing stuff.

The game essentially only has 3 types of guns, single shot, rapid fire and shotgun (+few gimmicky weapons the player rarely uses). Every non automatic gun that shoot one projectile is pretty much the same. Only stats vary. Plasma rifle doesn't perform radically different than a .44 pistol. It doesn't feel different nor you need to use different strategies to use the gun.

I'm glad the karma system is absent from Fallout 4.

I always found it to be immersion breaking in New Vegas when I would for instance be stealing from Johnson Nash's house in Primm and get karma penalized for it when he was in the Vikki & Vance Casino.

That's just putting them into further sub-categories.... like saying all of them only shoot projectiles. What sort of 'performance' are you expecting? When I use my revolver, I have to account for only having 6 shots... I whip out of a shotgun for when I'm in close quarters.... some of the guns have more recoil which affects how it shoots in iron sights.

Number one is just wrong i dont care if is a game but is just wrong.

Other one is wrong too (im not a purist but common on game should lack of any morality bc they are games)

Fallout 4 have more monster that any other Fallout, are u blind????

Sea Monster on a game focus on ground exploration, yeahhh nooo

Karma system was broken as hell on NV so why bring it back when is easy to work around and dont have any real impact, the only one is the other faction attacking u, and u have that on Fo4

Harder survival mode..... Welll dude no meter the game u play u will become god on a point. This new Survival mode was good but yeah u will over power at a point.

Aliens- there are aliens. Explore more.

There are more weapons that other games, just keep looking.

Vehicles no HELL no, for a game to use vehicles the maps need to be design with that on mine, that mean alot more flat areas. Look Mad max.

AND OMGGGGGG Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 arent RPG games they are ACTION RPG; that mean u have alot less on the RPG factor. Fallout NV yeah it was ok u have more RPG [censored] to do around but that took all the fun on the game bc u end lacking on everything else.

Im sorry but i really wish to know how long ppl like asking for this stuff play the game actually.

Alot of what he ask is already on the game.

Although, Fallout and Fallout 2 had a reputation called 'Childkiller', which basically meant everybody hated you and you were pursued by bounty hunters. So it's a 'feature' of the series. But, yeah: Bethesda don't make games for advlts. Falanu Hlaalu asking about necrophilia is about as risqué as they get. The prostitution in Fallout 3 was only vaguely hinted at, whereas Obsidian were much more overt about the seedy side of post apocalyptic life in New Vegas. Kinda makes me wonder why Beth bought the franchise when they don't really have the stomach for it.

I don't believe *we* all wanted those things.. I don't agree with many things on that list and I am seeing a lot of hard work and ambition as I'm playing the game.

SOOOOOOOOOOO game should stuck on a something that was terrible to begin with, bc it was on the past??????

Seriously what is wrong with ppl that want to sell ppl to slavery (that is on the game i find it today) and kill children. Really some stuff dont make a game, dont having prostitution on a Fallout game dont make it less, dont have it torture dont make it less. Really...

No, that may be what you think defines Fallout but it's not what WE think defines Fallout. Same with FONV, which definitely did NOT have strong dialogue or writing compared with many other games that focus on such things.

Also, it does not matter what the original games had because they were set in the same area of the USA (west coast). When you change the location, all sorts of different things exist in the different setting that did not exist in the original (and vice versa, for that matter).

Games should innovate and evolve. The things that some people think are "strengths" of a game are things that another person finds "weaknesses".
