This game is perfect.

Thank you Bethesda for making this everything I could have asked for.

I'm not usually into forums and could care less what strangers have to say about games but I made this account yesterday because I had to say this is the best game I have ever played and it is beautiful. In previous games my first character was always a nord and my favorite places to visit were Bruma and just about anywhere in solstheim and always wanted to see Skyrim. When I learned that Skyrim was coming out, I pooped em. I have spent nearly every free moment since the game came out playing and am in heaven.

There are plenty of us out here that don't prefer the pc, don't like mods, don't connect their console to the internet to get patches and don't want to finish the game in a week. With the the game itself and future official expansions, there is more than enough to keep true fans that take the time to appreciate the game occupied until your new masterpeice. You just don't see us because spoilers and seeing people talk about their superior uber characters that have all the achievements and are actually worried about what other people would think about their damage output or perfect game are actually kind of a downer for us freaks that like to totally immerse themselves and practically live the game. I honestly knew nothing about the game except for what the trailer and screenshots could show me and that's how I wanted it.

The spoilers are the worst. The links on the facebook adds can be amusing but I have to force myself not to look at them because it sort of takes away from my game. I can't explain it. And what the heck is up with the pc/console war? It's kind of silly because if you are happy with what you have, why do you need to talk down on what other people use? All this makes me want to take TES off of my likes on there but the thought of "unliking" Elder Scrolls breaks my heart. Not sure what to do there. xD

This isn't meant to rag on anyone else out there reading this either, everyone should enjoy the game no matter how they prefer to do it. Just wanted to make sure that even though they encourage changing the game by players, there are those of us out there that love the game for what it is and hope they never forget about us in future games. Good job guys and I only have one teesny request. Please pack all this awesomeness in another Fallout as soon as possible! Nothing wrong with the last ones but it's like crack and I can't get enough.

And now I am going to contradict myself by saying this: High five to everyone who loved Nords and Skyrim before this one even existed!

I'm with you here. I stopped following the news about the game before it gets out because they were full of spoilers of all kind. I wanted to be able to be surprised.

Look its not 100% good.......... there are the bugs and balance issues but I knew that going in and its still a great game.

And IMO the only one thats worth waiting and buying for.

Check and check but these things don't matter. I don't play this game to compete but it's fine if that's how everyone else plays. Like I said, I wasn't ragging on anyone. :)

Edit: There were bathroom and food breaks so I guess I have to take that back. xD

I don't think I have ever played a video game without any bugs or glitches so that's just part of having a game for me. It's 100% the best game I have ever played and the perfect game for me. To each their own though.

Hahaha Oh no I couldn't work for them. It would be even harder to hide from spoilers.

I myself shared the same sentiment until one moment I found myself seeking a shield on-target spell as had been my intention since December 2010. When my character decided she desired to learn more in the ways of magic and become a great alteration mage like she had heard stories of the Nerevarine and the Champion of Cyrodiil being when she was a child in Elsweyr she found herself at a roadblock. None of the court wizards seemed to be able to teach her what she desired to learn so she went and joined the College of Winterhold in order to further her studies of Alteration magic. But even they were not capable of teaching her what she wanted to learn yet they boasted of researching magic making new spells which lead to her coming to the conclusion that she must re-invent a protective spell for her allies yet it was also revealed that the College and no other place for that matter offered spell making services...

and it wasn't only the shield on-target spell that was missing but a ton too, http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1302338-a-small-observation-on-the-amount-of-spells-in-the-game/

quite frankly the revelation was gutting. Have you ever looked forward to making a character for nearly a whole year only to find out that you can only make half of that character ? That you must change your playstyle because a new system doesn't offer as much in terms of variety making you have to fill in the gaps with something else ?

Removing choice is never good in my mind and while Skyrim is an awesome game it really has its flaws, and spell making and spell variety is not the only thing that I dislike but it is the main thing I dislike out of the changes from the last two games in the series to Skyrim.

So yeah, Skyrim is definitely one of my top 10 games but it's not the 100% best game I've ever played.

Why does it seem that the most negative people are the ones that place almost absurd (and maybe even a little bit scary) expectations on this game?

I agree 110% with the OP, this is by far the most amazing game I have ever played, and I'm sure Bethesda will be able to top it, but for now this is my number 1 game of all time! :celebration:

It's not perfect but it's definately one of my favourites, and the best Elder Scrolls in my opinion. Also, it's nice to see some optimism around here instead of the monotonous whining I've become accustomed to recently.

I used to think Skyrim was epic, then my menus started lagging and then a treasure chest didnt spawn, and then a dragon would not attack etc...

And thanks to you too and to everyone that replied. :)

Edit:And Shaikura I figure the reason you don't hear from more people who are happy with the game is they don't have any reason to be on here. Hell what am I doing here? *back to skyrim* See you all. :D

Well can it honestly be said that it's too much of an expectation to see the spells return from former games ? Bethesda has done this time and time again, why not now ? I do have to agree with you though, the people who speak out against the game most are people like me who had very high expectations for the game, but they do it because they love the series and wanted Skyrim to be the best it could be without making any sacrifices to the series.

To think that each game should mirror the previous one in certain aspects and not foresee that some things may have changed? I would say that is, well, maybe not an absurd expectation, but at the very least an unreasonable one. Why make a sequel in the first place?

Apparently it's going to crash and burn the more you play it. Until I reach that point: BEST GAME EVER.
