This game will die because of balance.

Half of the time i end up a game totally frustrated and i never had a negative ratio so i cant even image how people that die alot more must feel.

The only thing that was fixed from the beta was pistols and meele, nothing else. Shotguns are still op as hell, typhoon for some reasons is now ridicoulus, bow is killing with armor on (i did not use it alot in the beta so im not sure if it was buffed but i do not remember killing people on 100 % hp and 50% armor), .50 mg is killing in 1 hit, poles killing in 1 hit, half of the things in this game kills in one shot. There are rounds when i literally never die from more then 1 hit. X pac followed by dsg headshot followed by swarmer and so on, hardly any counter play to that.

Why is base health so low ? without armor on i can die from one hit at close range, WHY ? Why is takedown less accurate at range than most weapons including scarab, ogr, fy7 etc, why does mike take half of my screen and why does he blinds me ? Why are there no drawbacks in using rapid fire? (and it made balanced guns OP).

Most maps are design mess. Penn station is full of snipers and bow users sitting near roof, chinatown is so vertical that i lose more time searching for people than actualy shooting at them, dam is also heaven for snipers and not to forget brooklyn bridge where everyone and their mother sits in the bridge tower.

Invisibility is so inconsistent that it piss me off, sometime i see people bright as a day (no explosives), sometimes they stand on my face and i have no way in telling. Oh use nanovision you say ? but i see **** in nanovision, when almost whole map generate more heat then invisible person and even if there isnt anything that would make it harder to see invi person its so blurry that i often cant even tell.

Yes its a whine thread and yes im angry. I was going to make constructive balance thread after testing all the guns but at this point i cant even force myself to play more than one round, the experience is just way to frustrating. After beta i didnt expect this game to be such a balance mess and i have a feeling that crytek do not intend to fix it.

Its a weekend and there isnt even 10 full TDM servers, if you wonder why, performance issues is the main reason followed by balance reasons that finish off anyone who can play this game with somehow stable FPS =/.

I agree with the invisibility inconsistency

However,the balance is not as bad as you think.The 1HKS are actually a latency problem,not a balance one.You're being hit for more time than the indicator tells you you have.

Its possible considering how horrible kill cam is but its crytek fault that they made lag compensation so horrible. People with ping 380 shouldnt even be allowed to play but here they can win duel with you not to mention all the teleporting, warping and so on.

Lag aside, there is really too many things that kill you in 1 hit, its really frustrating, especially when those were suppose to be a flavor things like poles or aliens weapons.

I agree with quite a few things that the OP has stated. The lag is terrible - there should be a threshold for ping, not only for server but for players.

I've played 20+ hours in MP thus far, and I've had this happen several times: I'm shooting at someone about 10-13m away, they don't die nor does it even take down their shield, they turn around in a split second - and w/o even aiming get a headshot and kill me in 1 hit. It came to the point where I ONLY use shotguns now because of the crazy spray and RANGE (WTF RANGE ON A SHOTGUN THAT WILL 1 HIT SOMEONE?!?!?).

But for real, the lag is a huge issue and I dislike playing with players with 120+ ping for the same reason as everyone else. You shoot them, your shot doesn't get recognized - they shoot, and you die before it gets recognized. I would rather have my shot never go off, than to watch the kill-cam and hear the sound of the shotgun go off, yet nothing happen to the player that is point blank.

TYPHOON is OP. it's pretty much a uber range / speed shotgun.

Typhoon + Rapid Fire
Auto-Armor and lag/spotty hit detection
Auto-Armor working when cloaked
Manual Armor taking forever to activate

The Typhoon is, well, annoying. And I think I've seen maybe three people in 7 hours or so of MP that killed me WITHOUT Auto-Armor. And with the melee nerf (which I welcome) Auto-Armor actually saves cloaked people from being killed - You hit them, cloak deactivates, Auto-Armor activates.

And they should have been dead, but the auto-armor kept them from taking any damage. It svcks.

They should have taken the first hit without any armor on. And AA just needs to be gotten rid of. Its ridiculous.

The Typhoon is, well, annoying. And I think I've seen maybe three people in 7 hours or so of MP that killed me WITHOUT Auto-Armor. And with the melee nerf (which I welcome) Auto-Armor actually saves cloaked people from being killed - You hit them, cloak deactivates, Auto-Armor activates.
Auto armor doesnt work with camo active and anyone complaing needs to just play better im tired of the nerf this merf that crap.

Overall i think the SP and MP are great. I like all the maps, and use different weapons and setup for each map and game type.

But i do agree that all the weapons are inconsistant and player balance too. Its not really fair for us noobs when there are 2-3 guys with average XP 10,000 points higher than the next closest player, also with the rankings too. Yeah i know there will be some uber good players with low rankings in the beginning, but when they average 10,000+ XP per game they will soon move up.

I have used the typhoon alot now, and its never consistant. Sometimes i get a kill with a quick burst, and others i will empty half a clip on someone at point blank and get killed from a single shot from a shotgun.
I'm not a total noob, but sometimes i feel like it when i get hammered in a game by top players.

Killing someone with a shield, especially in hunter mode, seems really unbalanced, as the cell guys dont have any suit powers. But killing someone with a pole, with a huge lump of concrete on the bottom is totally fair.

Rankings should be set so that top players, play against other top players, making it fairer for everyone. They have the skills, so they should go against others with the same skills.. for example 0-10, then 11-30, 30-40 and 40+ . The only problem i can forsee is that players of the same rankings need to be online at the same time.

thats my two cents worth for now.. hehe.

Yup, lets just leave things unbalanced so you will gladly play with 100 people within 2 months.

Typhoon is op because there is absolutly nothing you need to consider while shooting, its accuarte when jumping, have no spread, have no recoil and to top it off its good while hip fireing.

Rapid fire turns balanced guns into unbalanced **** (typhoon comes to mind but not only). Perks like that SHOULDNT exist, its pretty much impossible to balance and every balance team should know it. It doesnt turn EVERY gun into an unbalanced mess, but some do so you either balance a gun over rapid fire or you leave it op with it.

There is only 2 modules to pick from because Maneuverability should be used by everyone who plan on moving. Its not even the movement speed alone thats too good, no fall damage and faster ledge climbing is also to good to pass on. Maps are pretty vertical so obviously adding fall damage to anyone without maneuverability is so SMART. It should be build into nano suit.

Sniping (or "bowing) with low profile is super cool, i mean you cant spot invis for **** because its either bugged or i dont get how i am suppose to spot people and nanovision is only trolling me without showing invisible people. Is sniping with low profile OP ? no its not, its just something that lack counters because crytek in their right mind made nanovision unusable.

Alpha jackal can kill you with 1 shot while it has higher rate of fire than ogr. On top of that they can just jump around and not lose acc. BUT THEY ARE EASY TARGETS WHEN THEY JUMP HURR DURR. Sure they are, when i move like a snail because i need to activate my armor AND aim down sight, unless i pick laser sight that is.

Auto armor isnt op, its just stupid. NOTHING should be automatic.

Killing people with 1 shot while they are on full armor is also super fun, i mean you dont even see it coming because he is invisible with huge ass lamp, but there is nothing i can do to see him.

Oh .50 mg can kill everyone with one shot while out of armor and with 2 shots while in armor must be fun, oh are you just tapping your mouse button to make it 100 % accurate ? Who would have thought about that. It could have higher rate of fire with lower damage so at least i can react before dying but NOOOOOOOOOO.

I think we lack some 1 hit kill weapons, LETS ADD ALIEN WEAPONS. COOL IDEA. I absolutly love to get blown by x pac, or some bolt rifle but look there, its an alien flamethrower it MUST be awesome !! but no, its weaker than your pistol. WHY did the same person that considerd x pac ok made flamethrower so BAD.

AUTO BALANCE ?! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT, but we will unlock team change when teams get unbalanced, go ahead suicide and change your team ! Oh no one did ? THATS A SUPRISE.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD INCREASE BASE HP. Its the main reason why so many people use auto armor, its the main reason why most people get frustrated because they can literally die without a chance to activate armor from any gun. I guess it might be lag, **** net code or anything else wrong with the game but im often instantly killed by weapons that shouldnt do this to me.

I could go on for a long time but this is not the thread for that, its obviously not constructive and i really wanted to make detailed one, but as it stand now, with all the issues, i doubt i will force myself to even test all the guns. And crytek isnt exactly known for listening to their community (they kinda did in beta, which was the only reason i even bought this game, hoping that they will support this game).
