I have been playing bioshock a lot lately (beat the game in three days). And I started wondering, what would it be like to be a big daddy in fallout, I know that someone had already made a drill, but I made the entire suit, anyways I was just wondering if this would be a good mod idea

Any mod that you like is a good idea, just release it and if no-one downloads it what does it matter? That's why i always make mods for myself then release them. The only mod idea that is really bad is one that screws with other peoples games, like removing essential people so the quests can't progress e.t.c. Go ahead with your idea, sounds quite good for people who play bio-shock.

As long as you didn't take the actual mesh/texture from Bioshock but made your own, it's fine.

As said, mod for yourself, then release if you want. You can't please everyone, so asking if something is a good idea, then you are doing it wrong. However, that does not mean you can not mod with everyone in mind when making it, IE, compatible with another mod, etc.
