Doesn't really look anything like Skyrim or Bethesda stuff. Probably just a fan-made thing misidentified, or intentionally mislabeled to get attention.

Everything in that video exists as Morrowind mods. I agree with Velorian: it's a fan-made video.

That seems like the most likely scenario. Still, it looks pretty amazing, props to whoever made the vid.

Whoever made that video should do an animation series set in Morrowind. That was beautiful, and I doubt it was in-game footage.

I'll be damned if that's just modded Morrowind. I've seen MGE XE and all that jazz, and it never looked as good as that video.

It's possible that the colors were enhanced via graphics software. The video is only nineteen seconds long - not enough time to really know what we're looking at.

Yeah, the short clip has the duration of a "render" clip.

Not to mention, the character models (see the gondolier) were godawful. Animations were fine for what they were, but overall I wouldn't even say it looks better than Skyrim.

My suspicion is that someone did quite a bit of post-processing on that video, including adding a lot of soft blur to hide the lack of real detail. The gondolas look to be improved from the Morrowind mods I've used, but it's the same old gondolier. The arches and Vivec cantons in the background are recognizable, but with lot of lights that have a strong "halo" to hide things.

It would probably look awful in-game after only a few minutes.

Wow, I used to detest the city of Vivec but this video makes it look like awesome. Props to whoever put this together. On a separate note though I hope this isn't what Bethesda is working on...

Looks pretty amazing, though short. It would be nice if Morrowind could be made to look more like this - I think with some of the mods that are out, we can come pretty close.

It would be cool if someone was working on some machinima series based in Morrowind with this level of quality. Some great potential there.

There's a reason comments are disabled on the video.

Yep, looks like some higher end Morrowind Mods and MGE settings with some video editing. Still worth the 19 seconds though.

It's the start to a video about Morrowind made by the guys that did http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1351887-dunmer-cullture-striders-hd-video/. Made in 3ds Max and Adobe AfterEffects. Not sure who stole it and pretended it was Bethesda's.

I've seen his videos. I knew it wasn't a mod. It looked better than any Morrowind graphics overhaul I've ever seen, and the gondolier had different animation than the only mod I've seen that animates them.

Mystery solved!

Thanks for clarifying that, Lady Nerevar. Hmm... too bad it had nothing to do with a mod, but there are some great mods out there for MW, anyway that could achieve a similar effect (like MGE, abot's boat/silt strider travel mods, various retextures and expansion mods).

I watched the Silt Striders video, and it was entertaining, though weird. I'd love to see the whole video of Vivec.
