I might do this if my house didn't explode every time I leave.

Either the game doesn't like me decorating my house or my wife is a real [censored] :sadvaultboy:

I have that lower unused room in the solitude home to store nothing but sweetrolls. (Friend dared me to fill it to the top.) I did exactly that, I can just barely open the door without causing physics to kill the game. Must have close to 1,000 of them in there. And yes it kills your fps at that point. (Likely due to them being stacked.)

About that hunting, oh god I wish I could get rid of that [censored] horrible compas without removing my crosshairs and health etc. I'd probably like the game about 10x as much.

collect all insects in jars. Collect dwemer guardian cores (they look nice when dropped because they rotate red). Collect all daedric weapons and place them in weapon racks or display cases. I also collect dwemer metal bars and stack them .. i dont know why i like them :)

My redguard keeps all the bounties she's completed on her bookshelves. It's like a memory of her deeds, as far as she's concerned.

My mage is trying to get a complete spellbook collection. Alas, there are no bookshelves in the archmage's quarters... >_>

I collect all kinds of stuff...skulls, troll skulls, spigots, jewelry, gems, all kinds of stuff. Most of it goes in containers, but I drop skulls, drums, flutes around the house.

One thing that keeps me from getting bored is night hunting. Last night I started out in Ivarstead and went all the way to Rifton with a bow while sneaking, collecting ingredients all the way.
It increased my sneak, archery and light armor, and I had loads of ingredients, hides, and ores to show for it...(I always carry a pick axe).
Falkreath area is next.
I've also tweaked my PC .ini so that the compass does not show at all, so I don't see any red dots at all...but wolves howl.
Night hunting is a blast!
Never a dull moment...

This sounds like fun. I'll definetly try it.

I just kill everyone in a town..I spent maybe an hour and a half doing this in white run...I was very careful not to go into any buildings...didn't want any unwanted auto saves

My sister took my level 55 battle mage in daedric armor full upgraded and enchanted and just went to every town killing everyone.

BTW, i kind of do what op does, i collect enchanted and unique weapons and armor. and books.... and jewelery. doesn't matter what kind of weapon or armor, or what the enchantment is, or even how many of that item i have.

What I did is took a break for a few days, then started playing again without fast travel. Those loading screens really svck you out of the game.

I hope when the CK is released that someone will make a 'trophy room' addon or some such. Put a lot of mannequins in it so that I can collect complete armor sets...

Collecting Dwarf Paraphanelia on my main, I wish there was more variety and info about the Dwemer race avaliable to us like it is to people in-world. Another thing i've been doing as a creative writing experiment is keeping in-character journals and trying to differentiate the 'voices' of different characters I play. Even with the info that exist in-world, the Dwemer still remain mysterious to those devoted to Dwemer research.

I'm with you OP, except that after the first time decorating my house for 3 hours (placing statues, vases, books, spreading some unique items around) I left and, when I came back after a Quest, the whole thing was messed up! I mean "Mulder's apartment on a mithology episode of X-Files" messed up. I swear I thought it was part of a Quest that somebody just broke-in to look for something. Imagine my frustration after finding out it was a glitch several people were having. :D

OCD collecting + no fast travel + mage with no extra stamina = having to drop stuff + hundreds of hours 'til I am done.

I love making a treasure pile. One of my characters has neve sold a gem or bar of gold or silver. I have probably 80+ bars and around 60 gems. Just waiting until I find a suitable house for the treasure.

I have a sack full of gems that I have collected, and a barrel full of alcohol (probably best not to dwell on that last one :whistling: ) but I haven't decided where I am going to display them all yet. Oh and those glowy dwemer centurion cores, they're pretty nice.

I collect books... too bad the book shelves are [censored] up.

Mny books lost on my bookshelf. I dont remember what they were but only the oghma infinium survived, the rest just vanished. Then the bookshelf vanished days later...

Books now go in the chest.

If people must collect things, go for dragon priest masks and claws.
