 i'll probably be 90 by the time i've saved for that.no, tv will do for now.

anybody else think it ODD how they are coming out with pretty small and compact things these days..i remember in the 80s when ii was a kid the computers were massive and the phones were the 'dial one number at a time'.
it is odd how we've moved so fast, it began in the mid 70s. interesting. :spotted owl:  Ely

Not really all that thrilled with 3D at the moment (the few I've bothered to see in theatres.... weren't worth the extra money. And yeah, I know games are different.)

And then there's the part where I wear glasses (much higher prescription on one eye than the other), so the odds of that thing 1) working well, and 2) being remotely comfortable, are close to zero.

So.... yeah, no thanks.

Why on earth not? What could possibly be better than seeing nothing but Skyrim instead of Skyrim with distractions all around you?
It's been my experience that with a good game I no longer see the real world, and that's viewing a 23in monitor.

Nope, I'll wait until six different companies are regularly making them. That way market saturation means that it's only 100 bucks or less for a setup. Yep, I'm cheap, and partially broke. Either way, I have a 55 inch tv that works perfectly fine.

Nice Idea but give it a year then all of a sudden you have eye problems and can't see straight.

Because you're not seeing Skyrim but a butchered version of it. Playing a game with one of those headsets is quite different than watching a movie, as you're supposed to be the one who's establishing every moment what the camera is shooting at, and at the time of this writing there are no headsets on the market able to track both the head and the eye movements and display a wide enough viewing angle to make things work as intended. Those things are only a source of headache.

Two HD screens, giving the impression of watch a 750-inch screen about 20 feet away, 5.1 sound, real 3D, HDMI. Overpriced? But then we pay 600€ for a PS3 at the launch day.

Yes, i would like to play any game with this. Must be awesome.

Oh sony Releasing products so overpriced, and impractical that you would make apple blush.

agreed, the only sony product i'll buy is their headphones, and that's only because they actually make a pretty solid, comfortable midrange product there, unlike everything else they produce.

from a personal standpoint I could never use those because I need reading glasses.

from a general standpoint, I feel like they will either A. svck. B. Cause Blindness.

Everyone in here is acting like Sony wouldn't have taken into account how close it is, or trying to make it AT LEAST as good as playing on a monitor..

I'd get it if I had the money to waste. Looks cool if it's done well.

Personally I find paying $60 for a game to be overpriced though lol.
