Well, I pro-ordered at Amazon and I don't have Prime for free 2 day shipping. And I'm so cheap, that I chose the free shipping option.

My ETA is November 16th - 20th.

I actually have the 11th off for Veteran's Day, but no Fallout 4.

No pity for me, I made all the choices.

Fallout 4 marathon November 26th - 30th!

Exactly. If you notice, there are no question marks in his questions. It's basically a "Please acknowledge you received the task I assigned you."

This is the new plan!

I booked 10 days for Fallout 4.

And I am turning my phone off Monday night.

Well, Amazon will ship my copy on the 10th, so it wouldn't do me any good to take that day off anyway! LOL However, there is Friday night, ALL of Saturday, ALL of Sunday! woohoo And I already took a week of for Thanksgiving, but not to play Fallout 4. I'm visiting my friend in Texas and spend the whole week with her and her girls. :) No gaming! (although, we met during an online game like 7 years ago and have been best friends ever since). No wait, I talked her into going to Dave and Busters in Dallas hahaha!

OK, so yes, I will probably just order pizza for that weekend and only leave the PC to take my dog out, feed her and the cats, but that's it! LOL

Oh and yes, if the Boss's Boss's Boss sends you a task, you better do it! ;) No excuses, just results!

Somewhere I imagine your boss is sat reading this topic tapping his fingertips together saying "eeeexcellent".

Alien abductions man, they do happen.

I'm a binman(garbageman)and I said to the bloke who's in charge of granting leave(who I know quite well)"look, if you don't ok my leave for the 10th and 11th I'm just going to phone in sick, then your still a man down, you still have to pay me and now you gotta pay some agency guy. Just grant it."

Worked! Yaaaay fallout4! :)

I haven't worked on Tuesdays for months, so I never requested it off. Of course, the one Tuesday I actually gave a damn about having off I was scheduled. Fortunately, a coworker gladly switched. If only it were Monday too, because of Australia . . .

I'm an SAP ABAP developer. LOL, I can see how "Lubestream" may seem like a questionable title for a project. I work in the Oil and Gas industry, but my company is also heavily involved in lubricant manufacturing, which we lovingly call "Lubes". This industry is divided up into three main "streams". Upstream (exploration and production), downstream (refining and manufacturing), and midstream (natural gases, but sometimes refers to transportation and storage). There's also a 4th "commercial" segment, which deals with buying and selling of hydrocarbon, electricity, futures, etc. Anyway, Lubestream was just a title given to one of our Lubricant project efforts.

I'd want that guy as my boss. He seems to really be sorry that the impromptu meeting might screw up everyone's Tuesday. Props to him.

OP, that really svcks. If it's of any comfort, I'll be at my volunteer work on Tuesday sorting through historical artifacts that are almost 200 years old. Just think: on Saturday you'll find yourself playing Fallout 4. Your best weekend ever. :D

Sorry to hear it; that just bad circumstance. But you'll get to play on the weekend right?

Yeah, but when a manager [unwisely] gets to be buddies with their employees, those employees look to them as a friend; (they will unconsciously impose on the friendship), and anything afterward that the manager must do (or is told to do) that puts the employee in a bad way, can be seen as a personal attack from a "friend"; and that svcks for the manager. Better IMO to keep it business.

Could you present remotely. Hell split screen it and play while giving your talk. That would be impressive. The 1st Qtr 2016 projections are solid and oh [censored] a deathclaw...

Here's what you do, you make yourself appear sick! This is a multi-day thing in your case! You go in on Monday and just gripe about how you couldn't sleep, that your congested, and oh yeah, how hot/cold it is! Than the next day, you do your presentation, but you still act like you're under the weather, and try to get dismissed early!

Did that for a class I had to do a presentation for the day that Fallout: New Vegas came out. Was in the class for a total for 10 minutes and was out.

Yeah, all our management is pretty solid. We're both prior military so we get along great.

this seriously worked for me. Lol My boss is very lenient though so I wasn't surprised. He did chuckle a bit though and make hardcoe gamer jokes like having a bucket in my room.

You do have an out. Just fail that 9.45 eye test on Monday and tell them that they are doing more tests.

BTW, was that test to make sure everything was ready for Fallout?
