Okay, I assumed the year was 2290. If it's not, I can easily change the sheet.
Name: Pierce Lindeman
Race: Caucasian
Age: 55
Allegiance: Louisiana Republic
Office: President of the Louisiana Republic
Height: 6’
Weight: 165 lbs.
Appearance: Handsome though not dazzling. Lindeman is rather plain looking in all aspects of his appearance and just about everything is in proportion. In spire of his age, his skin is, generally speaking, smooth aside from small wrinkles and periorbital dark circles around the eyes. These are a sign of fatigue combined with age – the fatigue being evident in his pale skin, but this could also be as a result of his vault upbringing.
Lindeman’s grey, cropped hair is thinning and balding, which pisses him off greatly and is willing to pay top dollar in order to conceal this sad truth. He sports no facial hair.
Apparel: A black single briasted, two-piece suit with a shawl lapel. Wears spectacles in order to combat his myopia – this near-sightedness has kept him out of military service over the course of his career.
Personality: A deep, quiet thinker, but also a powerful speaker. Lindeman stores his energy pent up inside rather than realising it on whomever him disagrees with. When necessary, he will channel it appropriately, often to devastating effect.
Bearing that in mind, one could conclude Lindeman is judicious in his work, which is true. He possesses a solid work ethic and coupled with his meticulousness this often leads to positive results, even if they are more than likely to serve the long term.
Lindeman is, by and large, very forward looking. He cares for economic growth, social stability and a brighter future. If this means shafting a section of the current population then so be it. Despite being a strong proponent of meritocracy, he’s willing to focus on the currently successful institutions/organisations, etc if that’s what the Republic is calling for.
While the Republic’s shift of power is in favour of the head of state (as opposed to the Senate), Lindeman is certainly willing to listen to contrasting opinion and adjust his policies if convinced. Still, in foreign affairs, he is much more dogged and uncompromising.
Bio: Born in Vault 81 (2235) to Alistair and Nigella Lindeman, he is the grandson of Jacob Lindeman, the legendary revolutionary whom led the toppling of the ill-educated, incompetent Overseer and his panel of advisors.
Vault 81 was designed to test the effects of role reversal in society and the behaviour of the subjects. Vault Tek accepted applicants of diverse economic backgrounds, from menial routine workers to directors of successful corporations. Those previously less well off were entitled to unique privileges and effectively governed the Vault, whereas those of previously more well off backgrounds were simply the dogs to be commanded.
Of course, such an experiment wasn’t built to last, and over the course of a few decades, the lower castes schemed and took great measures to dismantle their rulers. It worked, and Jacob Lindeman (with the support of his fellow revolutionaries) assumed position of Overseer. Unlike the previous government, he utilised the Vault’s top quality resources and facilities effectively and after a bumpy start, established a fair, harmonious society. His kind leadership has been inherited by Pierce Lindeman.
When Pierce Lindeman was five years old (2240), the Vault door was opened. Backed by well-maintained equipment, Vault 81 used their technological superiority to expand and annex surrounding communities and tribes. The newly-annexed communities were mostly self-sufficient, so the Vault didn’t need to expend too much of their resources and food (which was produced via hydroponics). For a great length of time, this continued as the norm. Over the years, Pierce Lindeman advanced in the government (behind a fellow named Kessler) and helped to educate the people in his political ideals (which I’ll explain later).
Before the Louisiana Republic could be formed, however, a faction known as the Mississippi Alliance absorbed Vault 81 (not the Vault itself) and its communities (I’ll leave the year – and therefore Pierce’s age at this point - up to you, Name). Angered, they mobilised an army and expanded eastwards and seized New Orleans, which now serves as the nation’s capital. Senators were elected to represent communities dotted about Louisiana and Norman Kessler was elected president – he proceeded to appoint ministers and such.
NOTE: Right, I see that the bio was more of a backstory of the Republic more than anything, but like Adam, I wish to leave my character’s backstory and personality so I can develop it a little more over time. I will add the inner workings of the Republic (and how Lindeman became president) in a later post, with a few more titbits of information.
EDIT; After some thought, I realised this probably does take place after 2290 considering the Louisiana Republic (according to you) was established then. It doesn't really make sense for it to be a superpower after a year.
Apologies if this contradicts the lore you’ve set, but I honestly can’t see any, unless I’ve misunderstood.
