I absolutely love the amount of effort you have put into this, you've convinced me that you are very well prepared to be a host of a Faction RP.

However, I'm seeing repetitious mistakes in people's CS, and quite honestly that scares me. You have a very promising RP, and I applaud you for your dedication to detailing this far, but I don't have as much faith in the members.

I'm sorry to say, but I'll be sitting this one out.

Mistakes in people's cs? So, you are saying their ideas are mistakes? That's not nice.

@Your mom

The Sa-7 isn't even that deadly. The Soviets half assed it.

And lets not start a fight now.

Well, when it comes to other things besides war. Trade routes for my mercs are set up in Louisville, KY at the ranch. Although the ranch was burned down in my bio, the fields and land remained good and they produce the armies food, blankets, and the similiar.

I'm not sure how weapon trade routes work out though. Who supplies the armies with them?

Oh and name, you haven't answered on of my questions. Can my factions have trad routes via airlifts? As in a flying route where supplies are dropped off from an airplane, like the US in berlin 1945 when the russians had it under control...

I really don't know what to say about the Midas Valley Authority (the law enforcement). There are Police Officers whom wear http://images.wikia.com/fallout/images/5/5b/Sierra_Madre_armor.png and use 10mm SMG's, Batons and carry those explosive collars in place of handcuffs. The soldiers just wear combat armour and use assault rifles, other equipment pending on the situation but mostly typical US Army balistics. Plasma Turrets around the town (which Vault City had so it's okay) protect it and act as a deterant to most forms of aggression.

Really I like to imagine this like some fantasy world, we all have our societies with customs and laws and it's interesting enough, to me any way, just to see how we all operate; I may create a list of customs and such for others benefit, Midas Valley is by no means secret but a trading nation, with water and food to trade as well as science.

NMLA

*Weapons*

Sledgehammers, Maces, Power Fists, machetes, assorted small arms and submachines guns. Mostly use hunting rifles(the "scrubs" use these)

AK-47 (standard for officers)

M4-Carbine(for the high ranking officers)

Sniper Rifles are rarely used. RPG"s are common among strike teams.

Ranks with pictures

Soon to be added.

@ Your Mom

I'd be fine with that.

@ The Enclave

Noooo! Your using fallout weapons :o

I don't care really. But I'd prefer real world.

@Reid

The NMLA don't use vehicles.

Dang. I'll use a FIM Stinger instead. They are deadly and use heat seaking missles.

No, I don't think even those would be "Realistic" for a Mercenary faction. Your mom, you gotta remember your a merc faction.

No, that would be realistic. The Stinger (NOT STRELA sorry) are common among small time or large insurgencies, which are kinda similiar to mercs.

I was reading you RP and think it’s a great idea and you have definitely spent a lot of time and effort into it and hope you do a great Job as host. However I won’t be joining because I have a two Rp limit and some of what the Happy Xivilai said...

You mom: you can edit posts on ps3 with the L1 and R1 buttons ( blue part in the bottom left hand corner)

edit: most Fallout guns are actually real-life guns ( e.g the assault rifle is the G3) but are called Assault rifle as people wouldn't know their Names after 200 years and because of trademarks

Not the Stinger.

@Lewis, thanks, I'll keep a spot open, if you would like to join in the future.

yeah the stinger. I had the strela on my mind when writing that post.

i either use the strela or stinger. it would be realistic for a merc faction to have one or the other. Not some sa-7 that can't hunt down a fly.

Hell, I'd even use a Igla 1. they have a short range, but they ignore most plane counter-measurments and are cheap for SAM weapons...

I'd prefer the Strela-2 for sake of realism.

@Reid,

The NMLA will stay largely unseen other than assaulting the occasional caravan that strays toward "Saints of Louis" (Saint Louis).

And lewis. The l1 r1 buttons means go back or go forward. As in the green arrow at the top of a pc. trust me, I know how to use the ps3 on the interent. I know how to edit, but you see, the ps3 limits pretty much everything. Hhell, i cant edit anything because the ps3 does not let me click on such buttons. Oh well, tough.

Ok name. I read about it. It is a low altitude Surface to air missle launcher(SAM) but has a high explosive warhead. I'm fine with that.

I am using the Strela-3 so I hope that's okay...But it seems that we might be getting into too large of a discussion on weaponry. I am going to post the economic and political status soon in the the hopes that we slowly shift away from weapons.

I must admit, I am highly interested in this. If we are allowed to make our own factions, I may make one that resembles vikings of some sort.

The Mississippi Alliance Political Status and Economic Status:

Economic:

It is doing well trading wise. It trades with the Warrenites, The Saints of Louis, and occasionally, The Louisiana Republic. Their tax money usually goes to maintain, Military upkeep, and funding for projects and school systems. They also have a weapon trade with the FreeRunners.

Political:

They are allied with most factions and are in a pitched Cold War with The Louisiana Republic. The only faction they are at war with is the NMLA. They have strained relationships with The Little Rockers.

@Your Mom

My faction does, you would also find some things in old military installations.

Oh and I'll post more to my faction economy and such later.

If anyone gets overrun by my faction, i'll sing this song

Alright, just a little something from the citizens of my civilisation:

The 86ers (as they are commonly known by all) are typically hard-working yet self-motivated people; due to the nature of the Vault and such a small possible consumer base, all of the corporations in the Vault were constantly trying to produce better products, both to replace their own and to beat competators. Resources and luxuries too, being scarce, has prompted people to essentially strive for everything, everyone willing to fight tooth-and-nail (through legal, not not necessarily 'clean', means) to get to the top of pile. A typical citizen is polite, educated, selfish (again, this is a good trait in MV) but within him beats a ruthless heart; another common trait is that of being unwilling to compromise, another trait borne of the business like nation. A typical mode of address, between citizens, is 'Colleague'; as in, "Good morning colleauge".

The law is strict and seldom broken by citizens, most crimes simply warrant the death penalty and fines; for foreign citizens however, negotiations may be made, as others', understandably, might not agree that theft of property is akin to genocide. Aside from a strict law enforcement the government is minimalist and laizze-faire, taxation is small and regulation is loose; with human slavery being the only thing off the market, not that a citizen would consider entering such a trade. Slaves are banned from the city and slavers, if identified, will be removed.

The only currency accepted in the city, is Midas Valley Dollars which can be exchanged for regular currency in the central bank just inside the town's walled perimeter.

The Cabal is the final government, a council of wealth barons, there is no limit on it's number, but rather, members will be recognised, and admitted to the Cabal, depending on thier total weath (only property within Midas Valley counts towards this). The Cabal consists of, currently:

Chairman:
Howard G. Greenwood, CEO and President of Vault-Tec Industries.

Members:
Rex Graine, CEO and President of General Atomics International.
Roxanne Davies, CEO and President of Med-Tek.
Oscar Mulligan, Brahmin and Agricultural Baron and chief backer of the Dollar.
Christopher Carter-Sutler, owner of the Bank of Midas Valley.

Supporting these are the 'Board', a group of experts (who can even be non-citizens) who advise the Cabal - whom often have zero military experience for example.
