I downloaded Daggerfall and started a game.
I do believe I will like it more as I get used to it.
Is there a simple reason why I am locked out of places such as Knights of the dragon and Fighters Guild,
or is it becouse of other stuff that I will find out about as I play?

It's probably closed!
Hit F3 and click on the building, it will tell you the business hours.
F2 will take you back to normal clicking mode.
Pressing i or clicking on the compass in the toolbar will tell you the current time.

Thankyou much....I'll probably spend an hour every other evening exploring.
I have questions about this XL version and current wip for the next version.
I will do more reading tommorow as time allows and refrain from asking anything for now.
