This might need to be "MOVED"...

I enjoy swordfighting on the Wii, especially in Twilight Princess. However, an Elder Scrolls style game just has too many enemies requiring too many hits each for motion controls to really be feasible, especially considering that PS3 and Xbox have different means of doing motion and PCs none really at all.

Exactly. Spending 100+ hours, sometimes 8 or more at a time, standing(!) in front of the screen waving your hands would be at the very least exhausting.

That's the beauty of the PS3's Motion Controllers if you don't like the idea of waving the controller around, both controllers have triggers underneath them. So there could be an option that would allow you to either swing the controller or use the triggers to use your weapon if you want. The other interesting use of the motion controllers is.
1: You can now use your bow for a more realistic and precise aiming.
2: New kinds of magic or items for grabbing or grappleing (like ropes, whips or certain magic spells).
3: Better aiming with magic.
4: Smoother grabbing and dragging of objects.
5: Have a very interesting lockpicking mini-game with the use of the M.Controllers.
6: Better interaction with puzzles and the environment.
