Is there a way to make your followers permanently wear armor you give them and to have them not revert back to their default armor using console command?

For example, I want Golldir to wear a set of Nordic Armour, and I want him to wear it permanently instead of his standard Iron Armour, such that when I leave the cell he is in and come back, hes still wearing the armour I give him AND he won't be naked

P.S. I'm new to Skyrim on PC, so I have no prior knowledge as to whether there is a console command workaround for things like this

They'll only use it if its better than their default armor/weapons.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14037//? works this way, too. Tell them they could dress better (gives you access to all their default gear), take their stuff, give them what you want them to wear, and they'll wear it. Works like a charm.
