This is not "crysis" anymore

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 6:37 am

Crysis is my favourite,
Crysis give me something different with the other game that why I love it,
It is Special.
In old time, I bought the crysis and crysis:warhead to support this game.
For now,
I won't buy it anymore.
Crysis 2 is ****,
It's not like the old time,
The Style is Ordinary,
It can't give me a feeling of tension and excite,
Even less than a junk game.

Finally,I hope this game can go back the old time.

Next maniac.
Man. This game is very cool.
It's not cool only for Crysis 1 maniacs -.-
Do you want next Crysis 1 in better graphic? I don't think so.
Crysis 2 is better so much, and here, everyone needs skill to kill, I think.
You aren't going to buy the game? Who cares? NOBODY.
Well, Do not throw away yours sorrows here, like: "Crysis 1 was super, Crysis 2 is terrible, becouse it's not Crysis 1. I hate you !"
Code:
"So mans, you can't similar wroting posts, please i'm says serious now mans"

Now people are just trying to complain about any and every thing, it dosent play like cod. It plays like a first person shooter if it was 32 player and had bigger maps it would be a lot like crysis wars. And I'm guessing thre will be a mod that is crysis wars 2 anyway. and the whole idea of a choreographed sand box is to build tension and excitement so I hope you won't be disappointed in that field

You're absolutely right. It's not. It's Crysis 2, which, indeed, is a very different game.

My opinion on this matter is similar to how I feel about things like the difference between Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. These are two distinct games that, despite sharing many aspects and having the same setting and backstory, actually play very differently in the grand scheme of things. But by all means, the sequel isn't bad; it's just different.

If I want to play Crysis, I'll play Crysis. Crysis 2 is a new, different game, and if I want to play that instead, that's what I'll play. Each has its own feel and its own pros and cons, I'm sure, and even if I end up enjoying Crysis 2 more, I'm sure I'll still go back to the original from time to time just to have that unique experience again.

It's selfish of you to call the crysis developers' game "****". I think that's very harsh as they've put so much time into this. You are very rude sir.

Thats what ive been saying all along. I think people are just expecting Crysis 2 ro be a carbon copy of Crysis for some reason. Why would Crytek do that?

The Urban environment seems perfect for Crysis 2, Im looking forward to play the game. The nay-sayers can miss out, but im going to enjoy myself.

Oh, come on now, we all know people have just been ripping off doom and wolf-3d for ages now, they're all either sci-fi, or historical based, from a first person perspective, with guns. Obviously adding in different mechanics/storylines means nothing.

ok, I'm done adding to the sarcasm.

OT: So they decided to try something different for this game. It happens, the CoD/Battlefield ADS style is pretty popular, and makes a bit of sense. Online "rpgish" progression rewards people so they stay with the game longer (at least those who need it, some just stick with a shooter cause they find it fun). Now yes, these things are popular right now, this doesn't make them bad.

If popularity dictated the quality we wouldn't have, for instance, the advanced 3d model based graphics we have now. After all its popular, everyone's doing it so its bad. Hey, everyone's adding some sort of multiplayer component, its popular it must be bad.

FarCry and Crysis were both designed to show off thier respective versions of the CryEngine, so yes its going to have top-of-the-line, make computers scream levels of graphics and physics. FarCry had pretty good gameplay (haven't played the first crysis or warhead, my computer isn't good enough, and I'm getting Crysis 2 on 360) and people raved about Crysis/warhead gameplay, so I'm going to trust the dev team on this one.

But, one criticism that I've heard about crysis was its UI and keymapping were a little too complex to be easily jumped into (for some, obviously you get used to it as you play), so they're tying to streamline how the game is played. This in turn will allow people, who may never have even tried it otherwise, to give it a go without being too confused or frustrated by the mechanics. This also allows for multiplatform development, both a more streamlined user interface, and multi-platform, will allow them to reach a larger user-base (and yes, this will potentially get more money for the devs/EA). An easier point of entry will also mean a larger online/MP community, meaning more people to play with, and I can't see how thats a bad thing.

cant say its not crysis, altho crytek managed to retain some aspects of it, but others were remove to cater the console tech and norms. for example, no prone because they can't map enough key on 360 gamepad, small multiplayer map labeled as "action packed" because consoles listen server cant handle more than 12 players, small singleplayer map and frequent loadscreen due to consoles onboard memory are too small and they left out unarmed view so it'll be like in halo series.

so, what you are feeling is not really true crysis but its the console version of it. if the previous game was based on multiplatform, you probably wont complain much of the third one because crysis series is just some typical first person shooter with shinny graphics.

but dont get me wrong crysis 2 is still awesome and i love what crytek did giving the best game engine to our console brothers to enjoy it too. maybe when the sales shoots up, more game developers realize how awesome this engine is and maybe just soon enough we'll get to play more of this awesome crysis-like games when new consoles catches up with pc tech.
