this is not what i purchased..

i was at a pawn shop earlier today, and saw they had an old Copy of Pokemon Red for the Original Gameboy..

since it was only $2.50, i decided to buy it..

get home, and after digging around the basemant for an hour or two, i found my old Gameboy Pocket, threw in a few batteries and turned on the game to see what the previous owners Pokedex was before I started a new game..

thing is, i noticed Immediately as I turned it on, that this is NOT Pokemon Red.. as far as I can tell, its some ROM Hack someone put in an old Red cartridge..

Have you ever purchased a game, that turned out not to be what it was advertised to be (wrong game on the Cartridge, wrong Discs in the case, etc..) ?

Bought Assasins Creed: Brotherhood at EBgames. Opened it at home to find Black Flag disk and a slip of paper from the clerk saying I'd like this one more. This was a day or so after BF launched, but I didn't have 60 on me.

Suffice it to say, I like that store.

One of my friends back when the First Michael Keaton Batman movie was released on VHS brought it home and put it in and found out it was an advlt Film and his parents were there. The package was not tempered with and they managed to get a $500 gift certificate. They could have sued but it would have taken years and likely only the lawyers would have gained.

Years ago I bought http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messiah_(video_game) on a cheap sale ($3 IIRC), but in the box the game manual wasn't there. Instead there was a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_Adventures:_Redguard manual, so I have two Redguard manuals

Also, once I ordered http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094668/ but the store sent me http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401233/ instead. Don't know how they could mix that up

I once bought a used PSP and when I opened up the game slot there was another game from the previous owner already in the slot.

Me and my family once rented a movie, but instead of what it was supposed to be, it was some X rated pormo.

There was no movie that night... :(

Bought Final Fantasy III for SNES from Ebay one time and got Final Fantasy II for SNES... Got a refund and was told to keep the game as the other guy that won Final Fantasy II kept my FFIII.
