The bad:
1. The controls are very clunky, and sometimes I will rapidly press "X" to reload, and it fails to respond until about the 3rd or 4th time I press said button. Very clunky controls that barely respond to what you tell it to do. Sometimes it's hard to even slide the controls are so delayed. This leads to a game that's very under-performing when it comes to what you are able to do with your controls.
2. People say this is a team based game, well this game is just about as bad as any other when it comes to spawn trapping. The SECOND game I played with my team(of random ppl) we performed a perfect spawn trap on container city. They never even breached the FIRST door. This game is a complete joke if you are not playing with a team of people. You will either be spawn trapped, or the spawn trapper. It is not hard. I played about 4 straight games on CC, then Resort, then Aquamarine and we easily spawn trapped on all 3 of those maps, within the first 2 minutes of the game. The devs "said" that there would be no spawn trapping and that turrets would prevent that from happening, but the reality is those turrets are actually placed in the wrong spots on some maps and it is still quite easily done. You just sit outside their base. This leads to very dull gameplay, and it is surprising how easy it is. There was honestly nothing the other team could do especially on container city. They leave only 2 very small and narrow passages out of your base...and provide tons of space and cover to completely hole them in their spawn. If they walk through the tunnel or the narrow passage on the far left, 1 cooked grenade easily takes care of it. Terrible map layout from SD. Absolutely terrible. You should have more then 2 narrow passages outside of your base, but I guess they never thought spawn trapping was possible...lmao.
3. As I said earlier in #2, this game is near pointless to play without a team. I like to sit back and relax sometimes and just join a public game by myself and still have a good time and do quite well. That is not possible in this game. You have to play with a team(unless you enjoy being spawn trapped/you're team playing like idiots/etc).
4. The majority of the maps are bad. The only good ones in my opinion are shipyard and resort. The choke points make it VERY difficult for the offensive team to do anything, and leads to medics just reviving people a billion times. Soldiers constantly resupplying ammo. Sometimes you just want to focus on the fight at hand and push into their base, and its not really possible with the small chokepoints that make it SO easy to defend(not to mention MG nests).
5. Lack of some kind of scoreboard. It would be nice to actually see how many kills/deaths you had at the end of the game. At least you have somethings to look at to understand how you played that specific game besides XP points.
6. Matchmaking is terrible. IT is impossible to get a team of 8 people in the same game. If anyone has done it then I applaud you. I managed to get a team of 4 people in after trying for about 8 games to get on the same team. About 2 hours of joining/leaving games to try and get partied up on the same team. An absolute complete disaster from SD's part.
The good:
1. Customization
2. SMART
3. Team-oriented.
4. Pistols.
Personally, the bad outweighs the good. The biggest one being the Matchmaking system. I just want to play and ultimately have a good time with my friends but it is near impossible with how this matchmaking system is set up. This game was not ready for release on consoles.
Though, from watching numerous streams on PC. The game looks great. I would recommend to everyone get it on PC.
