So I've been playing a couple of days now in the multiplayer and today I got home and felt like playing some more, when I tried to sign in to multiplayer however, The game told me my freaking game key isn't being recognised !!!

This is outrageous, how could this be? One moment it works the other it doesn't
I bought the game on Steam!

Please help....

Just keep trying your key. It will work eventually. The authentication servers are glitchy sometimes.

I don't troll all threads, just the dumb ones. If I was having the same problem I would read one of the 100 existing threads on the same subject, and if that didn't solve my problem I would make a normal constructive post and not on that says "OMG THIS IS OUTRAGOUS!!!!!" Like I hormone induced preteen.

At least it fixed the same problem in my case. Just write serial number in multiplayer, than jump back in single and yet again multiplayer. If you did it before do it again. There is some bug that will destroy stored CD key after patch 1.2.

Well I tried continuously entering the key and it worked.
I'm guessing it's right when you say the authentication server is faulty.

If I would have to worry about all that stuff I'd have to see a shrink.
I know it's bad and all but I can't make windows opportunity to help them out, if one would present itself I'd gladly play my part in helping others out.
