I hate how Fawkes always acts as if he had done all of the work killing stuff, and the facts thatt he never shuts up in a battle. It is annoying as hell!

Star Palladin Cross is the most annoying of all.

Fawkes is great but too powerful.

Dogmeat is unrealistically dangerous and useful.

I've never had any other companions! I always end up shooting Clover along with the rest. Devil-man in Megaton won't work with me. Butch came too late in the game and I'm too good for him anyway. And I don't work with ghouls, they gross me out.

Someone else said it here but the the best companion is Sticky.

It's possible to sneak with most companions other than Fawkes, he's built like Triple H so It could be expected
They don't attack the enemies until they attack you or enter his/her combat radius (like 30 feet) and that is only if you are crouched.
Charon is best with his combat shotgun, but I wonder why he uses it like a lever-action though?
Cross isn't that annoying.
Jericho is a royal PITA
dogmeat isn't bad after you get the Puppies parks

I had Clover and Charon at one time, can't tell you how many times Clover cooed to me saying 'Awww...aren't you cute?' Gheez just pinch my face why don't you?
Oh and as for Charon, he was always running off and getting lost and I wouldn't even know he was gone! A few minutes later, I would randomly get the message CHARON HAS DIED. Ugh, reload previous save time -__-

Clover's my favourite companion. Loyal, effective and the best clotheshorse of all the companions, but at times it feels like when I drag one of my children around a museum or some other place they'd rather not be. She and Dogmeat seem to get on though.

What are the little things you find annoying or endearing about your companions?

I like clover as well. Set to essential with her hair in a bun, charon's shotgun and Jericho's nail board she rocks. I will have to shoot Eulogy and see if she still makes that annoying comment though. Dogmeat is fine as it for general running about - she is also set to essential - but I send her home a lot of the time for specific missions.

I have just loaded a mod turning lucy west into a companion, I shall have to see how that goes.

His weapon is different than the standard combat shotgun; it's kinda like a cross between Lincoln's Repeater and a combat shottie. It has a smaller spread and longer range too.

@pixichu - Yeah, he does do that a lot. :shakehead: I used to find myself turning around to see if he was still there all the time when I played on the 360. The first thing I did when I moved to the PC was make him essential so he couldn't die.

I guess I found Star Paladin Cross much less annoying than most people on the boards and she's tough as nails. I would've preferred Sarah Lyons as a BoS follower though, I kinda like her.

I like Dogmeat the best though, no incessant pvssyr to listen to.

Fawkes is great until I enter a building, then he's just a wall of meat in my way so he's rarely used. Ghouls are creepy imo so I don't use Charon. Not really a fan of Clover either, her comment about Eulogy just makes me want to shoot her. Jericho's usually not an option since I'm a good karma type.
