I am unable to load my saved game Fallout Vegas. The game is stored and played from the harddrive. The error message i am getting reads the following.

"This save game relies on downloadable content that is no longer avilable. Some objects may be no longer aviable. Continue loading ?

If i say NO! then the main games menu returns, if i click YES! then the following message is displayed .

"The storage device you selected is no longer aviable. Load conceled".

Then screen returns back to menu? I have tried the following:

{*}Removed gamed from harddrive.
{*}Run game from disc.
{*}Copy game back to hardrive and run the game.
{*}Clear catch from main memory.
{*}Log out and log in.
{*} Delete unwanted old games and free up harddrive.
{*} Restart many times with no joy?

I have 2 saved files which i have not removed, Can you help please. I am happy to try anything to get back into the game without starting from the start again.

You've been slammed by the DLC save bug...congrats in joining 3/4 of the F:NV gaming population that have had their game ruined by this bug that showed itself within 2 weeks of release and we are still waiting for the patch to be released "in the coming weeks" thats supposed to fix it.

Join the club. This bug ruined this game for me. Now it's a waiting game. I wonder if ms cert team also gave their blessings to the waiting game as well. Bethesda must have paid a bunch of money for them to cert this.

Has anyone tried removing the pre-order DLC and then redownloading it?

yup. still cant load the file.

Thanks for the info.. I was the biggest fan of Fallout ever!! and because of this bug i will most likely never buy a Fallout game again.. I have played so many hrs of this game and now have this happen.


I did not mind the so call normal problems which came with the game, you know the ones.. but this one takes the cake and i cannot see my self ever trying to playa noather fallout again..


Well xMas i am getting my now will be first best game out Assinssin Greed Brother hood..


xBox support have not yet found a work around and most likely give up too..

Apparently the patch will be available next week.
If you don't mind waiting...

had that problem for a month dude, good news, patch is finaly here in a few days

The game is not yet sold.. but would be greatful if you could let me know when it does come out..

The general feeling is that it will be out early part of next week,Monday,tuesday,Wednesday...
But nothing concrete has been announced.

The patch has been out for about a week now, fire it up, those saves should even load now.
