I was just looking at this a little more closely and I think that the grass seems to be rendered further than a Console could manage and the draw distance of the mountains seems quite far away.

What do you think?

They are just LODs i think, if you look behind the tree to that little hill there is no grass or anything so it looks like the draw distance wasn't all that far out.

It's only 720p, but it does look quite good. Not sure, seems like console to me.

It looks good indeed. However, the grass appears to be missing in the background so I doubt it's an actual PC shot.

Looks great nevertheless, gotta love that tree... and the mountains.

I personally think the best thing on this shot is the sky.

It is a pc screenshot. Its a screenshot and Im viewing it on my pc. Therefore its a pc screenshot.

Grass appears to be at console levels, and the mountain draw distance seems normal compared to all the screens I've seen so far, which would indicate a draw technology improvement from Bethesda' part, not due to the fact it's a PC screenshot.

I found 2 screenshots that I think can be of the PC version.
Note that they are both 720p since Bethesda hasn't released any screenshot on higher resolution.

Note that:

* The water is soft on the shore.
* Grass is drawn further than in most other screenshots.
* Look at the clouds. They look like they are volumetric and they have real particle effects.

If this is a console screenshot which i'm pretty sure it is, then I am one happy camper.

It looks pretty good, although at 720p. I have to say it looks like a console pic. I hope to see an all out maxed PC screen soon.

It may be my cellphone but when zooming on the fence it looked pixelated any ways this is not a pcs graphics vs console graphics thing? Is it?

You probably already have seen PC screenshots of Skyrim, you just don't know it.

From what pete said, on the official website they have screenshots of Skyrim being run on 360, PS3 AND PC.

Well I was saying if it's a console screenshot then It looks pretty good for consoles since i'm going to be playing it on the PS3 first until I get my new PC. :happy:

I wouldn't be able to tell but it sure could be...it's so gorgeous. I just can't wait to travel in this world. I don't live near mountains and one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen in my life was of Mt. Ranier when I visited Seattle. After 11.11.11 I'm positive I'll be slaughtered by wolves and trolls while I'm standing still because I'm mesmerized by the Skyrim view.
