So does Molag Bal, not the destruction of NIRN, but it's occupation.

And it's possible that the other Princes helped Mehrunes Dagon's invasion force. That's the only way I can think to justify actual legions of Daedra (lizard-like guys) and Spider Daedra.

And I seem to remember Winged Twilight at Ald-Ruhn, against a people that their mistress may have a slight grudge against for a ... multiple reasons.

I read about that. But I don't think the others wanted the destruction of Nirn, more like they knew Dagon was going to get trounced, like he always does.

Haskill, for a long time it was assumed that the Dark Seducers were minions of your Lord's unbrother Mehrunes Dagon. However, we find them here, in the Isles, dutifully guarding the lands of Dementia and they seem to have been doing so for a long time already. Daedroth being intelligent is a matter of which game you're basing it on. In Morrowind they were pretty potent spellcasters. In Oblivion they were dumbed down and hulked up, but they could still cast spells.

Really, there are probably multiple variations of most types of Daedra. The more brutish Daedroth may just be a subspecies that sided with Mehrunes Dagon.

The Xivilai and Spiders were the most aggressive spell casters. Pretty well executed if I remember in using summons.

Those little summoned spiders always cracked me up... Until they paralyzed me, that is. <_<

It's not all that clear. He wants to corrupt and despoil existence, but no more than Jygallag wants to order it and Sheogorath wants to drive it insane. Only Dagon has a motive beyond that of his nature, a motive that mortals can comprehend and has a beginning and an end.

Ah, I got you. Most of the Daedra have their spheres, but the reason behind it is unknown, and due to that the goal is not certain. But good old Mehrunes used to be king of the leapers, and wants to be again, but can only get that way if NIRN doesn't exist anymore, so he wants to destroy it.

Isn't "change" a continuous business? It may have a beginning, but has no end.

Dagon would soon have to leave his own party simply to allow it to change.

Back to the original question, I would like to point out that Vehk (during the Trial of Vivec) suggested that Azura's curse was something beyond the simple physical change from Chimer to Dunmer. His exact words were:

For seconds, what is this predilection for making this alleged 'curse' synonymous with our physical change? How are we worse from before? In fact, I like the particular look so much I wear it myself half the time.

Make of that what you will.
