Have you ever watched a really bad movie?

Sometimes, you finish the movie in hopes that maybe the beginning was a bad start and instead you waste 2hrs on a movie that svcks ass.

Same concept. I don't seem to understand why people don't get this.

Yes I have watched a really bad 2 hour movie.....but not over and over again 40 times in a 4 week period!

Because it's an irrational behavior. It's an extra silly application of sunken cost. I have to question the critical thinking ability of anyone who engages in it.

When a movie is bad, you leave the theatre or change the channel. Unless it has Milla Jovovich. Then you give it 5 more minutes.

Yeah I agree. On every point. This doesn't deserve the game of the year title. I think it should go to BF3. That is really innovative and with gamers in mind, and not some crippled, mentally limited, simply dumb people like it is the case with Skyrim. No, really, I think Skyrim was intended for use in clinical institutions, so that people with Down's syndrome could fully enjoy it. You know - kind of charity, they are people too and they want to live their life and enjoy things that we, the normal people enjoy everyday! Like playing complex games. So why not give them a chance to be on pair with us, at least once? And make Skyrim? I think that was such a brilliant idea that stroke someone's mind at Bethesda. I just want to shake hand to that man. Yeah. Let's help those ill people.

What the hell man?

That is just...ugh. :brokencomputer:

If skyrim end up game of the years, its a sad day for gaming. Clearly Bethesda have chose to move for casual players. I feel like someone has gave me Big mac when i ask for sushi.
But sadly this is how video games industry seems to have turn. Place a lot of efforts on the outside (graphics) but less on the inside (gameplay, quest line, etc) My character is lvl 60, so no one here will say that im low lvl who done nothing. I have cleared all the guild quest, except thiefs, done some random explorations, completed all the Misc of everytown but one and went to 60% of the main quest. i spent more then 80hrs, just in case and gives Skyrim a real chance. But nothing, This game doesnt give me any pulse or fun. Neither in the quest, mission that are boring and repititive, neither in random exploration because dungeon and cave are: 1- too linear 2- too small 3- i dont really find anything that make me feel like i found something unique.

So if you guys at Bethesda have really chose to go in casual direction, it is over. After a week a guy on this forum mention that even if Skyrim is not the best, i will buy the next TES and i sadly sayd : yes i will because i like TES. Well i have change my mind. I wont, just like i did for other good series that went to awsome to casual.

To make it clear. Skyrim svck because:
- THE GAME IS EASY

-Repetitive quest line, dungeon

-The Lvl system who give the chance to get 100% for everyskill, kills the idea to try different type of character because i can max everything. the character i choose wont change anything.

-In the same idea. takin out the astrological signs and give the players the chance to switch any time he want with the Magical Stone make no difference in the character creation and uniqueness of my characters + make the games easier. I dont need to think what type of players i want to create cause i can change at ANYTIME!

-the illusion of choice. (Companion- werewolf and more stupid choice like that)

-i used to enjoy decoration in my house with artifact and item, even the town has decoration and they broke the system.........

-plenty of things that we dont care (horse, wood chopping, killing wolf inside that dude house 6 times)

-having 4 different quest in the same cave or dungeon...................

So if you guys are impressed by Skyrim, i feel sorry for you and no matter what crap pepeol will give you, it doesnt matter because you enjoy fast food games.

From a fans of TES ( Daggerfalls, Morrowind, Oblivion)

wahhhhhhhh!! sorry but i don't care what you say or think!! i enjoyed MW and OB and thought SR is the best of the lot! sorry you don't like it, now bye bye! sorry to others but just getting kinda of sick of posts like this!!

Then dont use certain skills? I mean really how hard is that?

My warrior has not received a single increase in these skills except skill book accidents for his whole +40 levels

Alteration, Alchemy, Conjuration, Light Armor, Destruction, Enchanting, Pickpocket, Illusion, Restoration and Two-handed and he never will.

Also he made pilgrimage to a certain star stone which he can never change.

people like you are quite sad as you expect the game to control you instead of controlling yourself.

I have greatly enjoyed this game despite its faults.

Me too and actually I think Bethesda doesn't sell out as he says. I'm a hardcoe gamer and to me Bethsda and Rockstar are the 2 gaming studios that I feel don't sale out to make money. They stick to what they do best and try to make a game they themselves would enjoy to sit down and play. I have the utmost respect for Bethesda :tes: forever.

Oh I have played an rpg or two. Enough to know that its the journey, not the destination that matters. It's all been done before, so there will be repetition not only in Skyrim but in every rpg. It's all about how much fun you are having while in that dungeon or quest line.

Well. I mean RPG. Some call it oldschool, but that's a bit of a misunderstanding. RPG is RPG.
What I mean... It doesn't have to be repetitive at all.

On the other hand, I don't really mind the Piece of story > Dungeon > Piece of story Skyrim has... Well, apart from the fact half of the story seems to be missing , especially in the "guilds" quests.

If the movie was 80 hours long I would have to tap out around 3 no matter how much I thought the movie might get better. Your comparison makes no sense; no one would sit through an 80 hour bad movie. The OP is a troll.

Wow. How do you put 80 hours into something you don't find enjoyable at all? (and aren't getting paid to do)

I think you might need to see someone for help.

This.

I laugh at all these posts of "Skyrim svcks, but I'm level 50, and have put in 150 hours!"

If it svcks so much, why did you play so long? Why didn't you turn it off when you realized it svcked?

That's your fault if you keep playing a game that you think svcks.

And also - my opinion is that your opinion is 100% wrong.

I feel like I have seen this thread somewhere before.. hmmm but where? Oh wait all day errday.

Instead of QQing just go uninstall (or break your CD) and leave us alone.

Go back to you FF7 and fauwn over Sephiroth and Cloud yaoi.

Way to tired of people complaining, nothing really constructive.

If you really want to complain, how about you complain about the fact 90% of games lack content like they used to.

Considering most games I have picked up over the past years now have taken less than 48 hours to beat.

Its the way the market is and how people have to keep up profit to keep going.

Time = Money.

I am disappointed in general with how the casual/mainstreaming of gaming is hurting games (imo) but they need to go more mainstream to keep getting revenue.

You claim to be a fan of Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion, but then you criticize Skyrim because you can max every skill to level 100.

Seriously?

These threads are awful.

Due to the way gaming is going bethesda have to move with the times. Not everyone has amazing pc's to play this game on but anyone can pick up an xbox. I believe bethesda have had to make the game more appealing for the mass market even if it annoys pc users......

The quest lines were more :meh: than oblivion though, they really skimped on that part, or didnt think it was that important.
Other stuff he mentioned were

Though the post above mine reminded me; the more interesting dungeons made up for some of the atrocious questlines :) dungeons were greatly improved over oblivion imo.

Depends on what you are referring to in the quests.

Overall questlines? I'd agree, I probably prefer Oblivion's. Between the 2 major quest lines I've done (Main Quest, College of Winterhold), I think I prefer Oblivion for the overall quest line.

Individual quests? I think that Skyrim wins on an individual quest basis. Becoming a new student of the College of Winterhold, exploring the ruins of Saarthaal for initiation, and uncovering the mysteries of the Eye of Magus was far better than doing random errands for the guild leaders in each guild hall.
