Can anyone confirm that maybe the reason for the low population count is that people are playing through crysis 1 in order to get an idea of the crysis plot and then moving on to crysis 3 also how long is the single player campaign of crysis 1 and is there multiplayer?

Crysis 1 campaign was longer imo. tht might be because the campaigns in cry2 and 3 seem easier since they added the almost xray like vision of marking enemies on your HUD. the original Crysis seems more challenging. I died much more than i did in any of the other campaigns. and no there is not crysis 1 multiplayer. to answer your first question, i doubt that is the reason. granted that might account for a handful of them but think about it; if you got crysis 1 with your game that means you pre ordered it, which means you most likely played the beta and are anxious to see if they fixed the game. Personally the first thing i did was play a round of deathmatch, move on to the campaign and finished it the night i got it, then moved on to crysis 1 campaign the next night and knocked that out.

Ive got a thing for campaigns, and a thing for Crysis. Coupled together......lets just say i was not moving until everything was dead. Plus i was anxious to see how Crysis started out, like the author of this thread suggested.
