OK, this week is over, where's the patch

The week has offically ended Crytek...where's the patch that was promised?

I have yet to see a manual link posted and the download manager hasn't updated my game.

Lying to your customers is not a good business practice. Do you think they will forget by the time you release your next game or have you already made enough money to say the heck with them?

1-I think the anti-cheat update was the update this week. And I seriously have started seeing less hackers, ALOT **** LESS, actually...only one hacker I saw today i think....after Cry-Adam, or Cry-Tom (whoever it was), stated that the udpate was released.

2-Last I checked, every week ends on a Saturday and begins on Sunday. Right......RIGHT? O_o"

This is probably why they're hesitant to give us information at this point. When they do open their mouth they create expectations that they may be unable to meet due to the fact that post-launch a lot of developers take a vacation, they have 3 different versions of their game that they need to fix, and the fixes themselves may not be of predictable difficulty to implement.

That isn't to say they should cease communication with their community. If anything, they should redouble their efforts. I'm pretty sure that even a good portion of the complainers on these forums would be reasonable if only they answered our burning questions and kept us up to date on the status of the patch. It's a lot harder to be patient when Crytek is giving us the silent treatment.

If there's no DX11 coming down the pipeline, just tell us. Sure, it could hurt sales, but it's better than torpedoing your reputation with the PC gaming community. People just want to be treated like advlts and with a shred of consideration.

Same goes for the patch. If it's going to be late, tell us, explain the difficulties, let us be sympathetic. At current Crytek is coming off as indifferent, or worse, greedy.

Looks like they were focused more on anti-cheat than on 1.2.

We still don't have update that was promised for THIS WEEK - one we actually will download.

I expect them to keep thier word. Most people would expect no less.

SilentPhenomed, being in the US you should know that the business week ends on Friday.
