apparently people are linking it to a group of hackers called anonymous. This might mean that Bethesda are not allowing anything to go out because they want it to release across all platforms on the same day.

No. PC were expected to get it first anyway. Bethesda have no control over which platform receives the patch first, that's up the platform companies.

If this is just another PSN maintenance, then I hope we'll get the patch before Saturday. If it's hackers, then I'll... whoah...

And i highly doubt thats the case, also its up to the platform publishers to inspect and release the patch, Bethesda has no control on wich day it goes out, only the day they give the patch to the publishers.

One of the devs just stated that the PC patch will be released monday and console patches soon after (sticky about balance changes in New Vegas General Discussion). Hopefully Sony gets PSN back up by then

I don't know what it is that is taking so long, but I am getting very annoyed. Its be 5 months since Dead Money came. I'm not asking for a dlc every week or month, but everyone other month or ever three months? sure that seems like a good amount of time. as of right now My New Vegas has been sitting on shelf just waiting. I am two achievements (win 30 caravan and get banned at all casinos) away from getting 100% on the game, and I have no urge or desire to play it since I don't know when I will have anything extra to add to it. I knew I shouldve waited to the get the game, til a GotY version or when more dlc was out. Hell its 17.99 at gamestop now! I could've saved 60 bucks (i bought the limited edition version)

I am getting very sick of being kept in the dark on this. How many DLCs will there be? When will they get released? How much will they be? I don't know. No one does.

You are paying the piper for the exclusivity deal that Microsoft got for the xbox. Had there been no exclusivity deal, there would have been no wait for us PC and the PS3 users. We've only had the DLC for about 2 months, so it's just about right on schedule for us. You got exclusivity, we got only a 2 month wait.

Why would people hack to begin with? I mean, I never really got that. What do they get out of it? A few laughs? The chance to brag to their small group of friends? Bah, it makes me mad just thinking about it.

I think it's in retaliation to the whole Geohotz jailbreaking the PS3 and Sony taking him to court. They think they're doing something for a good reason but they're just being a nuisance.

I know a good handfull of people who were flipping their [censored] earlier today when they found out. I personally don't mind to much besides it ruining my cod plans because fallout is offline :fallout:

If hackers is really the problem...........I think they do it because they can. To make themselves feel big inside. To see how far they can go.
An adrenalin rush....... Sooner or later if they keep hacking big corp. networks they may get caught. That turns some people on.. IMO

Not to be a bit of an ass, but if thats the case, release it to PC and Xbox for now and then the PS3, if a couple of shall we say 'profligates' want to run around like headless chickens thinking they are making a difference against the corporations then wait until they are over themselves or Sony smacks them around the head.

The Xbox was just recently the reason why European Playstation users couldsn't get the Castlevania DLC for another month. So I don't think any PC or xbox users should take their out on on SONY now.

They say that but pc isn't a platform.. there's nothing to "check" with the pc patches.. PC patch should have been instant release. There are no.. 'pc' people watching over the "safe release of patches". So... lies, all lies and smoke. Something secret is going on.

steam is the "platform owner" for pc.

It usually takes 2-4 weeks for a patch to be reviewed for release thats whats holding everything up, it likely pc would get it first since steam has less stringent guidelines and updates are released daily not weekly, I'd think 360 and ps3 would probably be out at the same time. I think were probably looking at the patch being released next week with the dlc either at the same time or a week later.

ok so the psn is still down sony not got a clue we never going to get patch or dlc the way things are looking so if there are any members of Anonymous on here maby you could take up the chellange and fix what sony cant do as you probably better programers than sony. and befor anyone says get an x box no id never get one ever

Unfortunately i am rooting for the hackers, i have no problem with governments and ruthless corporations suffering hacker attacks as i look at it like one bucket and multiple fires senario. One bucket of water and 3 fires. so long as the ruthless corporations and the governments they own are getting hack attacked they will be busy dealing with keeping thier secrets protected, (the files where the NAMES have not been changed to protect or hide the guilty) which means they will have less resources to use to further thier nefarious plans. Wiki leaks is something to cheer, Wiki Leaks keeping the corporations and the governments they own from getting to comfortable under their various rocks. Viva la revolution!!

As a ps3 user if this were the case I ll surrender my right to get it at the same time as 360 and PC, because others should not have to pay for PSN problems.

If that is the hold up, because it still won t work today. Says its undergoing maintenance. Yesterday it just said error8776980. Still no socom 4 on line either.
