Some amazing photography, in my mind this is what skyrim should look and feel like... your thoughts?

sweet :D! but in fact I think Skyrim will look stunning and beautiful aswell, the mountains seen in the GI magazine, the new fog system, amazing trees and details.

Beautiful! Also some fjords and flatter mountains like in Scandinavia would be cool.

Nope - if I want real life I will look at some National Geographic videos. I want a balance where it does not take an FPS hit from graphics requirement and looking at the screenshots it seems they are going to achieve that - although time will tell.

I would like it if there was a town situated like this:

Obviously with nord style buildings

Heck yeah! I love Yosemite, and I really plan on going there as soon as I can get the airfare (us east coasters need to save a bit).

However, if you recall the Sound of Skyrim video, you can see a shot of some mountains with mist going through the trees and, if that is in-game footage, I think Bethesda replicated the same epic atmosphere.

I watched an episode of survivor man that took place on the banks of a fjord. I really hope that that is what a large part of the world is going to look like.

Great shots. Surreal. I imagine the overall feel of skyrim's environments will be similar.

those are pretty darn cool. grasses and shrubberies seem to be very consistent tripping point for even the most technically advance graphics engines.

as far as skyrim is concerned, I'm really looking forward to some desolate, toothy mountain vistas framed by sharp, thick rasps of trees.

Also, i'm fairly optimistic about the possibilites for really unique and character-ful towns and cities. way back in morrowind, I fell in love with Ald-Ruhn simply for its architecture.

Crash, lag, buggy.

Isn't that what characterizes OB:s/FO3:s/FO NV:s now very outdated-looking Gamebryo-version? :P

I'd be fine if Skyrim looked like the Satellite level in Goldeneye 007 Wii:

http://i1022.photobucket.com/albums/af346/jonwd7/Dolphin/SJBE52-7.jpg?t=1295189864
http://i1022.photobucket.com/albums/af346/jonwd7/Dolphin/SJBE52-6.jpg?t=1295189864

These were of course rendered in 1080p (actually, maybe 1440p) on Dolphin (emulator) and I downscaled them to 720p.

Notice the huge mountain way in the background.
