"Those couriers are tenacious."

So recently I finished the White Phial quest (felt those feely feels at the end) and I went to continue with the main quest. I'd trapped Odahviing in Dragonsreach and was talking to him, ready to climb on his back and go to Skuldafn. But before I could take off, that blasted Courier runs up to me, totally ignoring the massive dragon next to me and hands me a letter.

Then after finishing the Main Quest, I went back to Windhelm to speak with Quintis (who sent the note) and the first thing he says is "You're a difficult man to find, but those couriers are tenacious." Ha, I'll say! :lmao:

Anyone else had moments where the couriers (or just anything for that matter) have popped up at just the worst times? Not necessarily in combat, but just in generally silly circumstances. Like a naked courier turning up to your wedding. (Thanks for that by the way, Bethesda...)

One time I was fighting some Dawnguard members (Im a Volkihar) out in the forrest somewhere, random encounter. A courier comes up to me to hand me a letter telling me about a museum opening in Dawnstar. All the while Im standing there getting hacked away at.

I think a moderator should move this to the Spoiler section.

Naked courier at your wedding? HAHA now that would be funny to have to explain.

Showing up and interupting my assassin on the job was a big no no. Turns out those couriers are immortal on top of tenacious.

One courier chose to follow my forsworn character into one of the forsworn camps. because she is aligned with the forsworn faction they are not hostile to her. But they were to him. Poor guy kept getting dropped to his knees and the forsworn would walk away. He would get up and attempt to deliver the message again and they would return and hack him down. Rinse and repeat about 5 times before I couldn't stop laughing so I had my character get close enough to him so he could get the dialog. Once he handed over the letter she dropped it on the ground and walked off.

To this day I don't know who it was from. Either the Jarl of Falkreath or that museum in Dawnstar. Either case she could care less.

That's a good one.

I haven't had anything quite like that, but on my way back from defeating the Dragon at The Western Watchtower (over-encumbered, of course), a courier was trying to reach me as I walked up to Whiterun. Apparently, I was walking slow enough that he would get just behind me, then stop to initiate dialogue and I would walk out of range before he could start it. I walked the whole way into Whiterun this way where he finally caught me to give me my message. Is that tenacious enough? :D
