Those mammoths look small. : V

Real mammoths were at least 16 feet tall. The larger ones were taller. The one mammoth picture we have shows the giant (which is confirmed to be 12 feet tall) walking beside a mammoth which is slightly taller than it. When I heard of mammoths in Skyrim I giggled like a schoolgirl, but imagined big ones...these ones are only around 13-14 feet from the one picture we have of them.

Take another look at the screenshot. Assuming the giant is 12 ft. tall (which he is), those Mammoths have gotta be at least 16 feet.

They're definitely not small in general terms, but they did strike me as being under-sized for Mammoths.

Real mammoths are actualy around the size of modern day elephants (wooly mammoths anyways). The ones in the screen are about the size of Dinosaurs. They're preety damn big.

Actually, I believe there were at least a few different species, maybe several. The largest ones were much bigger than modern day elephants. Of course, they might have been called by a slightly different name. I don't remember.

Damn you are losing it. I would at least thought you would have made a comparison scale and worked out how tall the mammoth is in relation to the giant by now. - then posted the picture.

I know. I was, still am, excited for Mammoths. I think I was just expecting too much.

They're still impressive. I'm looking forward to Mammoth hunting. The OPM article mentioned it. The article said that when one Mammoth was attacked, the rest of the herd attacked the PC, as did the Giants.

It shall be quite a fight.

Wow I've been thinking of all the greenery around them as grass, but as big as the mammoths and giant are, they're basically large bushes.

If they are wild mammoths, it's hunting. If they are tamed mammoths belonging the intelligent and organized giants, it's poaching.
