are chapters modular ala GoW or RE5?

Can One go back and replay each chapter singularly making use of subsequently unlocked mods, modules and upgrades? Or does one have to replay the whole campaign through each time starting from scratch?

well i havent played the game yet but from the leaked videos on youtube you could see all the missions down the list in the campaign lobby. So YES you can go back and repeat missions of your choice :)

the upgrades do carry over. It was stated from nathan camarillo in an interview. He said once you beat the game and unlock all of the nano suit upgrades they will be available when you play through again

now we just need to take Camarillo to the Bioware offices and make him beat the Dragon Age 2 team with a huge spiky stick for being such jackasses

I couldn't agree more.

I think NG+ MUST be mandatory for ALL games, at least for action adventure and shooter games.

Thank you Crytek for making the game for all platforms and NG+.

at least any game with a PROGRESSION

a game like Halo or GoW does not need an NG+ because there is no progression/upgrades and whatnot

a Game like Mass Effect, Dead Space, Dragon Age, Crysis and so on NEEDS NG+ (especially if heavy on the RPG side)

god damn it, it's not even a hard feature to implement according to the devs themselves

No reason in particular, just that nano mods dont carry over. The catalyst counter gets reset

I have no idea, he might be talking about a version that on official release will have it patched in but for now the nano mods are reset. It seems rather bad that those mods are non-progressive if you playback a chapter so I assume they will patch it

I wouldn't trust ANYTHING that comes of out Camarillo's mouth. Three years worth of lies.

If others confirm that it does already then its majority in that it does, I'm just one in a few so my retail could be glitched? /sigh

If you mean weapon attachment (upgrades) then no because at the start of a playback chapter you get spawned weapons almost like halo3 co-op (when you die you get standard battle rifle/assault rifle and pistol)

EDIT: i should probably stop talking cause it might turn into a spoiler fest
