To those who think that the Stormcloaks are all racists...

Post » Tue Feb 04, 2014 3:32 am

Have you seen these so called debates? Everything that even remotely says Ulfric is bad is countered by "You can't trust him, He's just a blacksmith, They are lying," From the most hardcoe SW supporters. Of course not all SW supporters are that hardcoe, and there are several that accept the faults. Just like I, as a Empire supporter accept the faults of that faction.

It is the hardcoe supporters of both Empire and SC that leave a bad taste when one comes to the forum.

Either way, like you said, no matter what the Thalmor win since both sides leave each other weaker.

But this topic is about racism! Not all Stormcloaks are racist, just like not all Empire supporters are not racist! It depends on the person. :D

Wow. This argument totally looks like: "What? We're not racist. My slave is an argonian and some of my friend's slaves are even Dark Elves. I don't know why you would think I'm racist. That's just silly"

Not all Stormcloaks are racist.

Ulfric isn't racist. If he was, there wouldn't be a Altmer or Imperial living in the rich part of Windhelm. The Windhelm Dunmer are too stubborn (according to Teldryn Sero), so that is why Ulfric doesn't listen to them. Ulfric won't let Argonians inside the wall, because the Dunmer enslaved Argonians for like ever so the Argonians, no doubt, would cause a mini civil war within the walls of Windhelm.

A shame I can't let the Argonians in Windhelm instead of doing that painful CW.

You mean the Talos who is an Imperial god and a member of the Cyrodiliic Nine Divines?

I think a lot of people see them as racist because they hate the Thalmor.

Possibly. Nobody really knows, there are at least two in-game accounts of his human origins. According to one he would probably be considered a Nord (having been born in Atmora) but in the other he was born in High Rock and might have been a Nord (the alleged birth name of 'Hjalti Early-Beard' certainly sounds Nordic) but no specifics are given regarding his ancestry.

Neither of which means much, because regardless of his racial heritage he's still an Imperial god and one of Nine Divines.

Edit: it would probably be more precise to say that regardless of Tiber Septim's racial heritage, Talos is an Imperial god and one of their Nine Divines. Tiber Septim =/= Talos.

Housecarls are free men, serving as bodyguards, advisors, and close personal companions to jarls.

A Stormcloak having an Argonian housecarl is a big knock to the 'racist' crowd.

I remember the Stormcloak I RP'd was extremely racist. He got arrested for attacking the Argonians in The Bee and Barb. That'll teach them Argonians to call me a land-strider.

There is no preeminent reason we should be demeaning, friend, as we are all simply advlts here who share different opinions and passions. I am not going to change my mind, and from what it seems, neither are you.

Let's leave it at that.

Ikr? Let's put it this way: Some people like the color blue, and some people like the color red. In any other circumstance, everyone is okay with that. But here, one color is always impressing the explicit details as to why they like the color, and why everyone else who doesn't like that color is moronic. Tomfoolery, I say.

If I had my own TES community, I would actually enforce a ban on CW threads.

In this case, it's about how corrupt and failing the color red is and that the color blue is the only hope of survival Skyrim has....

Well, you don't, so go figure..

I could've sworn there was some rule about these threads (I remember reading it somewhere)

I agree with you 100% fellow son of Skyrim, but I tend to find the impressing of opinions getting rather jejune. Everyone is trying to convert the opposite side... I say let the tories stay tories, we don't want them on our side anyway.

IIRC, Morthal's replacement isn't even a Stormcloak sympathizer. Just some lady from a mine.

Yep, I was right. No known loyalties. Just someone who was picked for some crappy little hold.

I think both sides of the CW actually have an equal amount of racism that stems from the hierarchy, I noticed quite a few Imperial Commanders remarking on the savage Nords and Stormcloak Commanders talking about the traitorous Imperials but neither side is truly racist as they both accept anyone willing to fight for their cause
