To those who think that the Stormcloaks are all racists...

And the frist thing he does after being reinstalled as a Jarl is kicking her out...

You know I never said that all of them are racist ;)

Well as Shadow_Titan17 I didn't

A Stormcloak jarl still chose to have an elven steward. The original point still stands.

Well she also says that :

I mean Maven is defintly trust worthy .... Laila is just dumb .

She would do anything when Maven says it.

And you know Maven is sarcastic in that letter

Well that the full conversation:

He doesn't care for the Stormcloaks as long as he is the next Jarl

Maybe this will help in differentiating Altmer and the Thalmor: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Legate_Fasendil

Not quite accurate, there is the housecarl in Riften who talks about throwing out all the elves and Vulwulf Snow-Shod who trashes the lizard innkeeper and insinuates anyone not a Nord is siding with the empire, and the brother of the shopkeeper in Falkreath who is suspicious of all outsiders (including non-native Nords). I think it's fair to say that racists use Ulfric's cause as cover. The problem is that people blow it way out of all proportion, even people who should know better because they actually know that thinking your own race is better than others is pretty much Tamriel 101.

And, embrace the fun of turning the imperial jarls into bitter haters. :D I love going down to the Blue Palace basemant to gloat a little.

Then you're mostly wrong. The civil war isn't primarily about the Talos ban, that's just the last straw. Read http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Skyrim%27s_Rule. It's about Nord sovereignty in Skyrim.

You could make an argument that the Nords imposed foreign religion on the Altmer with Tiber's invasion of Summerset, though the empire was pretty ineffectual at changing Altmer society or even penetrating it at all. The only time anyone's tried to impose theocracy by force in Tamriel prior to the Thalmor are the Marukhati Selectives. And nobody liked them.

Obviously Teeba-Ei is just the token Argonian to meet Affirmative Action employment quotas.

He was born in Atmora under the name Talos. Tiber Septim was simply the Cyrodiilic name he took when he conquered Cyrodiil. Get your facts straight.

Yeah so the housecarl I would count, but I wouldn't count Vunwulf or Bolund, seeing as the first is a drunk and the second is rude to Nords as well, not just other races. So that totals up to 3 racist Stormcloaks... Out of half of Skyrim. :D

Hey now, let's be nice. The Out of Atmora theory is very unlikely. The ghost of Old Hrol'dan pretty much confirms the Arcturian Heresy version, that at least one aspect of Talos was a Breto-Nord general named Hjalti Early-Beard.

How does that Vunwulf fellow not count? He was a Stormcloak as well.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Tiber_Septim

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Ghost_of_Old_Hroldan

There are many accounts of him being born under the name of Hjalti Early-Beard, and after he defeated the Witchmen he was granted the name Talos Stormcrown.

Hjalti Early-Beard was born on the island of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Alcaire, in High Rock.

There are references to a storm that talks all night with Hjalti and deflected arrows while Hjalti shouted down the wall of Old Hrol'dan, where Hjalti was given the name Talos, meaning Stormcrown, by his men.

Hjalti Early-Beard was born in Alcaire, High Rock.

Why don't you try taking of the Nord goggles and getting your lore straight first?

I know that's also a possibility but I don't believe it. You do and it's your opinion.

Even IF he was born in High Rock, he woulnd't be 100% breton. They don't exactly pick Nord names.... Hjalti Early-Beard ISN'T a breton name. Period.

There is even a ingame source saying that Hjalti Early-Beard is Tiber Septim and that he learned to fight in Alcaire.

Hmm Bolund :

That's what he says when you're a Nord : "A hearty welcome to Falkreath! All of Skyrim's true sons are welcome here!"

How impolite :stare: I alwasy though that being greeted politely is rude...

No Nord : "I can't believe we let provincials like you wander Skyrim."

Sorry but Atmora was already depopulated when Tiber was born....

You know the last ships from Atmora arrived in 1E 68 I mean that are only 3680 years ... I'm sure he was born there...

And what is about the old Nord Ghost who fought with Tiber...?

Then again Valerica and Serana don't sound like Nord names either.

Before I retort your comment, I would simply like to state how pleasing it is to see an Imperial supporter speaking on a mature level, with no sign of being demeaning whatsoever. *cough* sarcasm *cough cough*

Now, instead of refuting this argument of whether Bolund is racist or not, I will agree with you and say that he is. Now let's count:

1: Rolff.

2: Angrenor.

3: Bolund

4: Harrald. (I assume this is whom you speak of when you say "The racist housecarl of Riften")

Now let's see... Four out of what, half of Skyrim?

You don't have to be a mathematician to compare this ratio.

Doesn't matter. Brand-Shei isn't a Dunmer name, but guess what? It belongs to a Dunmer.

I don't believe he was a Breton. I have no idea what he was. It may be your opinion that he's a Nord, but you can't deny the fact that no one truly knows.

But if this source is the Ghost, then I'm more inclined to believe that he was born in High Rock.

Intoxication is a valid excuse for spewing racial slurs? (Besides, realistically no one can be drunk 24/7...)

Lets face it, both sides of the civil war are not perfect by any means. The stormcloaks in general are fairly racist and do not really want non-nords in skyrim. Argonian dock workers are not allowed inside the city, the dark elves are limited to living in the slums of the grey quarter, attacks on non-nord groups by bandits go unpunished, and the Stormcloak's attacks on Whiterun was pretty much unprovoked. The entire rebellion itself of questionable, considering the threat of the Aldmeri Dominion. They are pretty much playing right into the hands of the elves they hate so much.

The empire isnt that great either. Aside from various examples of corruption and laziness ("Forget the list, he goes to the block."), they have given the Thalmor free reign to enforce the ban on Talos, which they have to know includes imprisonment, torture and execution. It not really surprising the Nords have started to rebel, their former enemies are allowed to roam free to do as they see fit. And while the orcs generally favor the empire, they have simply stood by and allowed Orsinium to be sacked without consequence.

IMO, the Empire is the better of the two choices because of the long term, but really, they both svck. I wouldnt be too happy with them if they were going behead me for no real reason either.
