A few narrow-minded Nords don't represent the entire Stormcloak army.

Rolff, Angrenor.. I'm looking at you.

I don't take Rolff seriously in anything he says. He's a drunkard.

A few points to his racism.

1. Even if he was, I'd still support him, because racism is like the hip thing in TES now and since it came out, and it's been around since the beginning of time. Didn't stop people from having strong kings. And no, I'm not racist, so don't try it, legion.

2. As irrelevant as this topic is, if he was, there wouldn't be a Hlaalu farm owner with nord workers or Altmer merchants doing better than a lot of Nords in the city. And if you think that's irrelevant to his racism, and think that all that could go on with it... I have to ask, why the hell does it matter then if you can still succeed unhindered?

3. Both Rolff and the argonian at the docks comment about Dunmer and argonian tension, which isn't surprising given their history. So while this isn't an excuse for their segregation, it does mean Ulfric may have a real reason to keep them apart, even if it is somewhat drastic. I'd argue these are drastic times, however. He is fighting a war on his own funding for the future of his people, after all.

And even if there were no argonian and dunmer tensions at all, Brunwulf mentions there is between Nords and Argonians at least, and even he keeps them out for their safety, which means even HE thinks there's risk of violence. Couple that with Dunmer and Nord tension as well, and you have potential for a great cluster[censored] of issues in the city.

If the evidence of Ulfric's prejudice is this, then look to Brunwulf and see him do the same thing. Ulfric probably is a bit racist, like everyone in Tamriel. But not at the level people are claiming. Like.... Dunmer levels, ironically.

I think Nationalism and Racism tend to get misconstrued by people.

Racism can stem from nationalism but it does not take the place of the latter.

There are racists in the leagues of the stormcloaks, sure. But that's to be expected with any culture that is willing to die to protect their traditions and beliefs. It all boils down to the individual and what they're fighting for.

And so do I, and so do a lot of working class Englishmen. Over here you get called racist for simply raising the English flag. Did you know that the English flag is actually banned from being raised in a northern town? Because a Muslim complained. I had a Swedish friend once and she told me that the situation was similar over there.

We have a national day in England called 'St George's Day.' Well.. Some people tried to do a march to celebrate in the city of Brighton and there were riots. The police has to escort them.

I myself don't really care about this sort of thing, but a lot of people do. And it just goes to show that those two terms are definitely misconstrued.

I've heard of that, yes. A lot of things get mistaken for others unfortunately. Like how people confuse xenophobia and nationalism with supremacy because there's a few people that indeed have supremacist tendencies and thoughts.

The reason people confuse nationalism with racialism is simply because so many of them are both or masquerade as one in order to cover their beliefs in the other, there is no mystery to it, there is no confusion amongst the people who march as to what they are either, nor amongst those that oppose them either in Skyrim or real life.

Please tell me you're joking, because that is ridiculous. I don't think I've heard anything like that happening up in Scotland and people complaining about the Scottish flag being raised.

I'm on my iPad, so I can't send you a link. But I saw it on the news. I'm not joking. England is one of the worst countries in the world for this sort of thing. It's much better in Scotland.

I don't know.. It's awful on both ends. Because the nationalists are usually ignorant chavs, albeit their cause is just.. And the Muslims walk down our streets protesting against Christianity, and protesting against our troops.

Well.. It's always been in our nature to swallow things up and laugh at ourselves. Laugh it off my fellow Brit. :P

The funny thing is.. That's a different town. So this has happened at least once before. Bloody hell is right.
